We have been to a few wine tastings and this one was over the top! Following a tour of the vineyards and production facility we enjoyed tasting eight different wines along with some top notch charcuterie. Seriously, the meats and cheeses provided were some of the best we have had in Italy. Frederico was an excellent host and represented his hard working family with grace and skill.

My husband and I loved the tour, the wine (especially the Mafefa Rosso and the San Miniatello), and the wonderful story of the family and the vineyard. We also sampled the olive oil and took home some of it too. Fabio did an outstanding job explaining the wines while we tasted. We have done many wine tastings and tours but this one was by far the best. This venture is clearly a product of love and passion. We will return.

My wife and I happened upon this family run winery just outside the town of San Miniato. Awesome wines, full of local flavor. The family warmly invited us to try their wines and were more than generous to both my wife and little daughter as I picked their son’s brain about local wines, etc. Of all of the wineries we went to today they were the most approachable and the least intimidating to a couple of monolingual Americans. After tasting their wines, they offered us a tour of their vineyards – fantastic end to the day. Before leaving I bought 6 of their wines. I recommend trying their desert wines – awesome!

We had a nice tour and tasting with Nicoletta. It was arranged by a wine distributor at home who works with them, so it wasn't a random visit. Nicoletta took us to the vineyard and explained their philosophy of planting and pruning, which was very interesting. We walked through the winery and she also explained how and why they make and store their different wines in different ways. Ended up with a nice wine tasting along with some lovely meats and cheeses from the area. Their wines are wonderful - we had a case sent home. I got the delivery notice today and they will arrive 2 weeks to the day after our visit. The price for shipping was very reasonable (we have shipped wine from Italy before and this price was much less). Would highly recommend.

We booked a tour and wine tasting experience with Agrisole Winery through AirBnB and loved every minute of it. Fabio, one of the owners, took us around the fields to show us the crop and talk about how they grow the grapes and olives. Then he took us into the wine cellar and told us the process of how they create the wine. Finally, we ended with an exquisite wine tasting where he described all of their wines in great detail and we got to try them along with their extra virgin olive oil. The tasting was paired with meats, cheeses and bread. He was very accommodating and I would recommend the experience to anyone!

Awesome wine tour of family owned vineyard - Agrisole ssa di Caputo Federico & C.

Fabio was a welcoming host who showed us the workings of their winery and olive groves. Very informative, relaxing, and enjoyable day. Three hour tour costing
25 € per person.

The tasting covered all their wines with the exception of wines sold out. Very nice cheese, meats, bread, etc... as you enjoy your wine tasting.

Fabio’s family have a beautiful location in San Miniato. We had an awesome time enjoying this Tuscany experience.

Would definitely go again.

My family and I and our guide Elena Benvenuti had a fun day touring the Agrisole property and drinking their wines. Fabio told us how and why their mission of making only quality (not quantity) wines in an environmentally responsible manner drives everything that they do. And then there were the wines--all excellent!! We bought a number of them and some olive oil and shipped them back to the states to enjoy when we get home. Can't wait!!

As something of a wine snob, I am always on the lookout for small, quirky, and unusual wineries and the chance to sample small batch wines. During a long-awaited Tuscan holiday, my wife and I along with two Aussie friends hopped in the car and braved the winding country roads of northern Tuscany toward the tiny vineyard known as Agrisole.

Located a few miles southwest of San Miniato, Agrisole is 12 acres of grapevines and olive trees where the Caputo family has spent 15 years focusing on the traditional wines of Tuscany and high quality, extra-virgin, cold pressed olive oil.

We arrived on a quiet Saturday afternoon fully intending to just sample a few wines and buy a bottle or two. That turned into a fabulous four hour experience with Caputo family member Fabio. Starting with a tour of the vineyard and a description of how the vines are hand-tended and organically treated, our visit moved into the fermentation area and then the bottling room and finally the small tasting shop.

Despite not having a reservation, by the time we got back to the tasting room, Mamma Concetta had set up a table with tablecloth, glasses, water, tasting notes, and chunks of delicious Tuscan bread drizzled with the unbelievable house made olive oil. What followed was more than two hours of laughter, wine education, and delicious wine.

While Agrisole produces a fair amount of the signature Tuscan varietal Sangiovese and the well known blended Chianti, the Caputo family has chosen to celebrate lesser-known historic Tuscan varietals such as Colorino and Malvasia Nera. Despite being unknown to me and likely many other American wine fans, these unusual wines were well made and very drinkable.

Fabio was an unbelievably gracious and friendly host and before the day ended, we were loading 6 bottles of fabulous Tuscan win into the back of the rental car after arranging the shipping of another 12 back to the US.

Although Agrisole is still a small batch winery, they are growing. A new tasting room will be open by the end of the year, they will receive their Organic certification from the Italian authorities by the end of 2018 (a three year process) and they hope to double production by 2020.

If you find yourself in northern Tuscany and want to spend a great afternoon trying wonderful wine, search out Agrisole. And I suggest a reservation for the tour. I expect you’ll be needing one in the future.

Mille grazie Fabio!

Picked up from trip advisor I can only echo what has already been said. A fantastic arrangement all round, a very interesting tour and insight of this small family run winery, outstanding home made food and brilliant wine tasting as well. All for euro 15 a head! A great 4 hours and some excellent wine to take home. Fantastic - a must!
