Have dedicated parking facility for the pilgrims, temple remains open from morning 4:00AM to 11:30AM and evening from 5:00 to 8:00PM, highly recommended to follow the timing to experience the best, also can grt UNNI APPAMS form temple and the timing is from 6:30AM and it’s limited to certain time,

One of the renowned Temples in Kerala dedicated to Lord Ganapathy. Every one is allowed here. Unniappam is prepared and offered to the deity. The structure of the Temple is Magnificent and the ambiance is tranquilizing.

We used to go there as and when we feel like as this temple is close to our home and are so interested in worshiping lord Ganapathy.

The temple is situated in the centre part of the Kollam corporation, near the Kollam Civil Station. The main deity enshrined here is Lord Ganesh, apart from Nagaraja and Swami Aiyappan. The main priest-hold of this temple is run by Tamil Brahmin community of Kollam Corporation,consisting of 270 families. The Prasadams here are mainly Appams and Modakams. The annual Vinayaka Chathurthi festival of the Kottarakulam Maha ganapathy here begins in August. Rituals including Ashta Dravya Mahaganapathy Homam, Kalashapooja, laksharchana and pushpabhishekam
