This huge red and white striped edifice is well worth visiting- just make sure you aren't there at lunch time when it closes till 2pm. You pay a small fee, and need to be reasonably fit, as there are 196 narrow winding steps to the viewing platform.( although there is a lift) . The views from the platform are amazing... More

Light house beach is really nice and a hike up to the light house is well worth it. Lots of nice fish restaurants on beach

This place is a must go, if you are in Kollam. Best visited in the evening,as there is a beautiful sunset awaiting you.It does have a entry fee. Fee for your camera. The place is kept extremely tidy. And you would feel that. The light house has an elevator. It would take you to the penultimate level of the light... More

The breakwaters and lighthouse of Thangassery are a must see in this little village. It's a nice place to unwind!

From the top of this lighthouse you can view the beautiful sea and surroundings. Visiting hours is from 11am to 5pm. You surely should visit this beautiful place.

Located near Ashtamudi, Thangassery lighthouse is a must visit destination to see the birds' eye view of the entire city, the sea and the fishing village. No photo can do justice to this panoramic view, so I advice everyone to pay a short visit to this lighthouse. For those who cant climb the 100s of steps, there is also an... More

My 1st visit to a lighthouse and it was exactly what I imagined. Built by the British and so well maintained. The brass fittings are shiny and the wood solid and polished. They have installed a lift now but it doesnt take away from the structure or beauty and makes it easy for everyone to make it to the amazing... More

It's my first time in this light house. The new elevator service was good.... it's very help full. And the view from the light house it's was super... At the sun set time it's was very romantic I love it. When I visit Kollam in future I will vist here also......
