    Memory of Salda Lake
It was rainy when we went. It was very enjoyable to watch the lake while it was raining. The color of the water is magnificent. The surrounding area is under protection, but unfortunately the necessary care has not been taken. We had to travel a little way to get to the edge of the lake. You should definitely see the structure and color of the stones and rocks in the lake.

    Worth a detour
Visited this place . The government has decided that part of the lake must be preserved in its form and tourists cannot access the water part. You have to stay behind the ropes that span this one. However, 2 km further to the campsite you can swim in the lake casually. The water is pleasant , but the mud mush sticks well to your body . It also looks like white sand , but to me it looks more like white ground pebbles and it feels like that . If you go to the official entrance you pay 60 lira but you will be taken by electric transport to the lake and back. I was the only tourist on 05 /07/2024 . Rest assured :) to the campsite free

    Amazing Natural Wonder
It’s truly a natural wonder. It’s hard not to be magical, but the famous beach isn’t fully open for us at this time. It’s best to see it from a distance when it opens. We’re always late for our cultural and natural heritage. In the meantime, lavender gazos are delicious for all,

We came through Kalkan and turned towards Afyon. There were no double roads on the way out, and on the way back we traveled for about 10 km on a rough road. I mean, I didn't think about whether it was worth it after a difficult journey. A sweet lake with warm and soft water, a beach with tiny stones and a deep blue appearance...

We visited and stayed for a one-day break on the Bıdrum-Ankara road. I recommend walking around the lake before sunset. The sunset can be observed very beautifully between Doğanbaba and Kayadibi neighborhood in September. Make sure that different colors will look good on you. Do not use the option of parking and driving around with electric vehicles. There is a very nice road around the lake. Definitely go..

Such a wonderful place on the earth! The soil on the lake is rich with Soda and Magnesium mineral that give her white color. The water color of the lake is glassy turquoise. The raft is carrying Mars features in the science so, feeling like on the Mars to dream. First of all, it's amazing place to visit " Salda "in Burdur,Turkey. I will not upset to visit here again and again.

I had the opportunity to go to Salda Lake 3 times, but I was not satisfied at all. The cleaning and appearance was very bad. The toilets are not clean, there is no such thing, the picnic area is not tidy, they charge a certain entrance fee when entering, but the maintenance is very poor.

Definitely overrated! We wouldn't drive 200 km to see that if we new what we'll experince. Ok if you pass by it, otherwise....
First of all, beside colour of the water (which is nice) everything else is quite poor. Cold water (beginning of July), dirty sand all around, depth is not more than 50-60 cm. I wouldn't dare to use "Maldive" name for this.

A must see place. Well kept. Swimming in the lake is a marvelous experience. There are cafes along the beach, where you can eat tasty food. The Halk Plajı is more crowded. We preferred the second beach which is on the north west side of the lake. You just take the side road where it says Salda Köyü and Türkiye'nin Maldivleri "Saldivler". There are changing cabins clean toilets by the car park.

We stopped here on our journey to Pamukkale and glad we did because this white sandy lake is just different to any we had seen. It is very quite, and we hardly noticed any other person there. There was quite a drop in temperature as it looks the altitude is higher in comparison to Antalya. We stopped at a hotel called Lago Di Salda and from there accessed the lake itself. It took us 3 hours from Antalya and only stopped for 30-40 mins but it was well worth it.

We went there in April when weather was pretty good, so we expected that we will spend there few nice hours with sunbathing and swimming. This area is not cool to stay there - no people and shops (maybe in season they will appear?) you can not buy even water or something to drink. I saw one restaurant at the another part of lake - maybe there is possible to eat? And views also wasn't that nice. We changed our plans and went to Burdur.

There is a 10 lira charge to park by the beach which is fair enough as the place is clean and there are numerous showers to wash the clay off your body. Also changing rooms at the beach plus self service cafes.
The beach is a coarse white sand, sandals required.
The overall attraction is the scenery with the white sand and different shades of blue in the water, which is rich in magnesium sulphate.
Apart from a swim and a walk there is nothing in Salda village itself to make you want to stay for more than a few hours.
