かなり素朴な雰囲気です。

石岡の駅からも歩いて行けるところにある 無料の時代に合わせて展示がされている 展示内容としては断片的ですが無料で見れるふうにはいいと思います 国分寺時代の発掘品などはとても魅力的な迫力を感じました

学校の校庭となっている常陸国府跡にある小さな歴史と民俗の資料館です。
弥生～古墳時代、国分寺や国府、近代と展示も少なく、入口に「歴史の里いしおか 」とあった割には1000年間隔の疎な展示でした。
入口付近の外に置かれた風間阿弥陀が、全国に様々な伝承の残る小栗判官縁の展示で良かったです。

石岡市に出張で滞在中に観光も兼ねて訪れました。予め学校の敷地内と聞いていましたが、実際に訪れるまでは本当に資料館があるのか不安でした。ですが、視野に資料館と一目瞭然な建築が飛び込んで来ますので心配無用です。
かなり素朴な雰囲気の資料館ですが、このエリアの歴史などに興味のある方なら、足を運ぶ価値があると思います。

学校の敷地の中にある無料の施設。大きな看板ですぐにそれと分かりました。企画展では水戸鉄道。二階の常設展では、国分寺の発掘品などを展示していました。まあまあかなと思います。

石岡駅から、徒歩で15分くらいにあります。学校の一角にあり、一階が企画展で、二階が常設展です。建物内は、広くはありません。企画展は、鉄道の時代に描いた夢という物が開催されていて、石岡と鉄道の歴史が勉強できました。

石岡小学校の校門を入って右手にひっそりと佇む資料館。 何の予備知識もなく隣の市民会館に飛び込み館の方に教えてもらいました。駐車場はとなりの市民会館にも、民俗資料館にもありましたが民俗資料館の前には2～3台は止められます。ただし土、日、祝日のみの開館です。学校の校庭内ですので走行には注意、校庭内にも遺跡がありますが現在は埋め戻されています。館内の資料、館外の遺跡も合わせて見学できます。私はここを拠点にして石岡市内の古い建物を見物です。ここに歩いて見物した市内の写真を載せておきます。館の方及び市内の方々が親切に案内、説明していただきました。ありがとうございました。石岡市の観光案内が充実していれば、もっと多くの方が訪れるでしょう
