The museum is good, although the maquette of the old city may be a bit exaggerated. The translations into English are funny. The old townhall aka old/destroyed monastery is a bit of a bummer, not much to be seen. No need for a tourguide. The...More

I really enjoyed my time at the Museum. The place was very nice and informative. There was also a nice gift shop and a cafe with WiFi.

With a guide you get lots more out of the place which of course is also beautiful and interesting as such!

I highly recommend you contact a tour operator and have them make arrangements for you. They can arrange a driver and a tour guide which will be fluent in English. I'm sure they can drive you from Ulaanbaatar to... More
