On a road trip around the North East and West coastline one of the highlights was the views from Saltcoats Beach looking over to the Isle of Arran -stunning in the evening sundown.

We had a great walk along the beach at Saltcoats, it was a showery day but it was nice and fresh. The place was very clean and was just a nice place to be.

I love walking along the beach with my dog as I find it so relaxing! And looking over the water to Arran is stunning.

This is a great place for families to let off steam and also to relax and sunbathe on a sunny day. A large expanse of sand that is cleaned daily during the season

This is a lovely big shore just needs a bit of a clean up. Loads of rubbish about and annoyingly dog mess, I wish people would clean up after themselves.

This beach is fabulous, clean and looked after, and more importantly dog friendly, and clean, no dog pooh anywhere.

Nice traditional beach with nice views. Lots of parking and good for a walk. Backs on to a town that has obviously faced social issues on the high street like many towns but in a nice day could do worse for a day out.
