Svandalsfossen has a fall of 180 meters in total. By Fv. 520 you can park and walk under the bridge to really experience the waterfall close up. In 2006 an impressive bridge and stairway system was opened under the auspices of the Norwegian Road Directorate's...More

We arrived after a few wet days in Norway and the sound and power of the water was mesmerising. It's simply stunning the sound and power of the falls, the mist that is thrown up drenched us. We left the baby in the car as...More

It is part of the Ryfylke national tourist route in Norway. The best time to see the waterfalls is in May and June when the snow is melting. If you have the time and willingness you may climb the 540 steps of the metal ladder...More

Nice water fall by the fjord. Easy access with 500 stone stairs. Great for all ages. You could get really close to the fall without any risk.

But you certainly want to walk the stairs,- that`s where you se the real waterfall. The view from the picture is what you see and the end of the first part of stairs so its pretty easy to get up there.

I don't really know what to write other than this is pure beauty of nature. This waterfall is absolutely beautiful and for sure worth seeing if you're close to this location.

Traveling to Roldal we saw this beautifull waterfall and stopped to take some photos. There are parking places on both ways of the road. We took the stairs to get more beautifull photos. Strongly recommend to go up because the view is better.

Nice stop on your way from/to Sauda, good way to get close to a waterfall and to have a great view on the water/fjord below.

In the south west of Norway, north of Stavanger (on the other side of the fjord, north east of Haugesund, actually), you find this waterfall. On your way from the main road (E134) to this waterfall you also passes an other waterfall I don't remember...More

Svandalsfossen gives you a great opportunity to get close to a waterfall. The architectural design is also interesting and gives a good framing of the impressive waterfall. After rainy days the waterfall gets quite big - bring your raincoat!
