We enjoyed visiting this bridge. It is an interesting local landmark and worth seeing if you are in the vicinity. The bridge itself is free to visit and open 24/7. However parking charges apply 06.00 - 22.00. €4 for 2 hours. Distance to the bridge...More

Interesting bridge, quite busy when visited. There are a couple of routes to reach the bridge, and a Visitor Centre. Parking available but a fair distance from bridge. Route we took would not be suitable for push chairs or the very elderly. Take a drink...More

I am not sure if I would drive to Mörsdorf just to see the bridge, but for us it was the special attraction after 2 days on the Sahr-Hunsrück steig. Very nice bridge over a beautiful valley.

Go there in the evening hours or early morning sunfall or rise. Advantage the place ist not crowded. Truely a special place! If you can afford the time go there.

We did a very long walk out to this bridge (7km) and then had the opportunity to cross it in both directions. I recommend not carrying walking sticks because there are fairly large rivets holding the boards down and the sticks get in the way....More

The hanging bridge is worth a visit! It is free of charge but you will likely pay for parking - free spots are not easy to find. Parking costs 2 Euros for 2 hours (a little over $2) - well worth it. The walk to...More

Aparently the longest walking bridge of Germany, stretching 360 meters from one end to the other. Softly rocking through the wind and vibrating lightly because of the people on it made me very aware that this is a hanging bridge. Beautiful forest around the bridge...More

Plenty of options for for hikes in the forest, that you can choose to end (or start) by crossing Germanys longest suspension bridge. Park in the city of Moersdorf and follow the signs. The bridge is about 15 - 20 minutes walk from the parking....More

You can drop someone off about 400m closer, near the last house. The rest of the road is partly serviceway (only accessible for local farmers) and partly footpath through the fields.

Hi, I don't think so. We had our own car so we were able to access the bridge. However, I think it would be difficult, even if you did have public transport.

Sorry for the late answer. It's much easier from Frankfurt than Freiburg. Have fun!
