The trek is really nice and the view after is worth the hard-working​. Very refreshing and green. Me and my friends enjoyed the place alot. Do wear sports shoes as it's an above average trek and little difficult also.

The place is good but should walk around 2.5 km inside the forest by walk to view the view point at the top of the mountain

Paithalmala is an underrated tourist destination in kannur. It is highest point in kannur . Can be reached from both Kudiyanmala and kappi mala side. The trek time is one to Two hours depending on a person speed. DTPC Paithalmala resort is at the entry point of trek. Plastic carry bags are not allowed inside. Water bottles will be numbered... Suitable for those who can walk about 1.5 hours. All you can do is enjoy the nature. At the end you will reach a viewing point where you can have a view of the mountains connecting each other. Recommended for those who love trekking! Morning and evening is the recommended time to visit!

Nice view and excellent climate. Good for those who likes trekking. Awesome views of valleys and hills, the mystic mountains adds perfection to the perfect location

Paithalmala is the highest peak in Kannur district with an elevation of about 1200 msl and is located approx. 60 kms away from Kannur town.
