Dharmadom Island is an uninhabited island covered with coconut palms and dense bushes sits beyond the confluence of Anjarakandy and Thalassery rivers. It is just 100 metres from the sandy beach of Dharmadom, which is set off from the mainland by rivers that surround it on three sides and the sea on its western side. You can wade to the... More

Dharmadam, a beautiful island blessed with a foreign ambiance, can be tipped as Kerala Mauritius. It's an untapped tourist destination in Kannur district. You can experience the wonders of nature during the visit. The island is surrounded by the Anjarakandy river on three sides and by the Arabian sea on the fourth side. You can cross the river (there will... More

Dharmadam is an island covered by Anjarakandy river on 3 sides and Arabian sea on the other. A very quiet beach where you find mostly the local crowd spending their evenings. Tourism has not exploited the full potential of this beach. There is an island which was once a family property now acquired by the Govt. One can walk till... More

Its only 4km far from tellichery town. There is not much crowd here. During a low tide you can walk to nearby Dharmadam island. We couldnt go there because it was high tide

This place is not that much crowded and it's in a walkable distance from my in-laws place. The island has different kind of wild animals and they use to cross over to mainland when the water level of sea is less. One animal which is very common is porcupine and sometimes it's Mr. Fox.
