We found the place by coincidence and we were really bluffed! It's free and you get a lot of information, presentations, explanations, very nice personal at the shop and in the museum offered us a bit later to go up to the hill to see steam jets - it was really amasing! My husband is an engineer, so he was pretty into this place. The tour was self guided with videos that told of some history. He was a bit disappointed it was so much more history than design. I thought it was interesting, but got a bit dull and repetitive towards the end for me.

The museum was a bit run down and very much an old-style museum which did not bring the interesting subject to life.

A very informative museum if that's what interests you! We also went up the hill to witness the steam burst being released. So loud!

The site is significant for renewable energy fans, according to the tour guide they produce 2% of Italy's electricity here from steam they drill down to find. The museum is neat and tidy and shows some artifacts and lots of models. Captions are in Italian and... More
