This is a good hike but it's uphill most of the way. The view at the top is worth it, though. On a clear day if would be fantastic but we were on a cloudy day so it was only so-so.

I wouldn't call myself a hiker by any stretch... The hike was roughly 45 minutes one way and although there were areas where I needed to take a few deep breaths... It's still easy enough for me to not be sore the next day. If you can push through the steeper parts, you will be happy when you make it... More

This hike is a great hike to start the day with. You need to be in a good condition but it gives you so much fulfilment. we encountered the great woodpecker, what a gracious bird. the hill top is spatious enough for quit some summit visitors

This trail is relatively short but a steep climb up. However the view at the top is spectacular. It would be a nice spot to picnic and someone has thoughtfully constructed a rustic log bench

Parking is very limited only a tiny spot maybe 6 cars. Quite steep going up but take it slow and it is worth it.

Our trek up and down is about 45 minutes. However the views at the top will keep you much longer. Bring a bottle of water in the summer, It is dry, dry, dry. Plan to spend at least 1/2 hour to take in the views, so much to see. The lakes the harbour, the islands, the water, breathtaking. You have... More

This trail is a good climb to the top but is fairly short. The trail could have had more switchbacks designed into it in the middle section other wise it was a nice trail through the trees to the top of Pender Hill. Once at the top there are great views to the east and South. Use Google to locate... More

We're mid-sixties, regular walkers with some hiking experience. One asthmatic. We churned our way up this steep climb in about 45 minutes. Others' claims of 30 minutes seem reasonable. Do wear good shoes. A stick would be good, but many were available at the start of the trail - we each found one and left it there when done. Useful... More

The climb to the top of the hill is easy to moderate but, suitable walking shoes are needed, ie., no flip flops as the trail is natural (not manicured) and very steep in places. The view is mainly south and west over the entrance to Pender Harbour, out over the Peninsula towards Vancouver Island, and west towards Nelson Island and... More

After half an hour hiking up the steep trail to the top, you will be greeted by the spectacular view of Pender Harbour. You can't beat that view. Wear some comfy and slip-proof shoes and bring ample water and snacks.
