Wow, what a nice place. The road to rifugio auronzo is expensive (25 euros per car) but you won't be dissapointed. The hike from Auronzo to Locatelli to see the peaks in all their glory is the easiest hike we have done in our entire trip and takes about 1 hr 30 min. A must on your visit to the... More

We walked the 102 up to Drei Zinnen. A walk for 8 km 1000 meter upwards, like walking a stepmachin for 3 hours. Nice and spektacular view all the way. On top and in front of Drei Zinnen, the walk is well worth walking. Fantastic! Walked the same way down after having lunch at the restaurant.

Tre Cime di Lavaredo are surely one of the most scenic and rememberable highlights not only in the Dolomites, bus also in the whole Alps! If you are in the region, visiting this sight is simply a must because of amazing views all around the road (pass and hiking road). Journey starts on the Lake Misurina to reach the Tre... More

I found it very difficult to find any information on the internet to travel to the Dolomites on public transport from Trento. I particularly wanted to travel along the SR48 highway from Trento to Canazie through Pozza di Fassa and see Passo Pordoi and take the chair lift up to Sass Pordoi. From Canazie I wanted to see Lake Misurina,... More

Trails are well maintained with numerous refugios for resting. Terrains can be steep and rocky in places so hiking poles are a must unless you have excellent balance. The views are spectacular.

Tre Cime (or Drei Zinnen in German) is one of nature's finest creations. These mountains stand like giants, frozen in time, steady in this quickly changing world. It is a fantastic experience to admire the view, to look at these stunning mountains, and be reminded how small we humans (and our daily little problems) are. :) You can travel on... More

On the higher reaches of the loop heading anti-clockwise from Rifugio Auronzo, we encountered walls of ice on either side of the path - akin to the top of the Passo Gavia. This was early summer this year whereas there was no snow/ice on a previous visit in early autumn.

One of the nicest and accessible walking trails in the Dolomoti. The trail starts from rifugio Auronzo and goes around the Tre Cime. The trail is circular and takes approximately 3 hours, but there are plenty of nice places to stop and rest, including lakes and a river. I was there on Saturday and unfortunately the trail was full of... More

Caught the bus from Cortina. Easy to do. Dolmitti bus from the bus station - tickets from the ticket office not the newsagents as stated in other reviews. Cost €25 return for two. We caught the 10am bus. It takes about one hour and is a spectacular drive up - made more entertaining by all the cyclists en route -... More
