Stunning sunrise on the beautiful frozen lake. We found Ice caves on the side of the lake near the frozen Silverfallet waterfall close to Björklinden.

We went out on a sled right across the lake. The ice was transparent and about 12 inches thick. An extremely beautiful place but one of us got frostbite!

The lake offers a great scenery of Abisko & a very good spot for Aurora watching. The lake was frozen when I was there so I had the opportunity to walk on it while snowmobiles going back & forth. Super fun experience.

Visited the lake in winter, the lake was frozen and a splash of snow covered it. The vastness and white made it a must to admire.

Oh my goodness this lake is enormous - supplies all the ice for all the Ice hotels because the water is completely pure and has no chemicals whatsoever.
Take a husky ride across the frozen lake or just watch the guys harvest the huge blocks of ice for next years ice hotel - truly amazing location - the falling snow is like glitter falling on you

Probably one of the best places to see the northern lights in the world!

I have lost count of how many times I have visited the area over the past last 5 years and so far I have a Success rate of 100%!

And the best thing about it is that there is no admission fee! It is accessible to the public without any charge or fee! Just be careful if you go there in a winter time with the ice, check with a professional or local before sitting a foot on the ice!

It will be beautiful if we have clear sky in the day and night for the Northern Light. It is very easily accessible. In winter there will activities such as ice fishing, skating, husky riding etc
