You could hike up in the summer, but in the winter it would probably be impossible without snow shoes or skis. I have seen people hiking up the hill below the chair lift on skis.

They will! If it's warmer than minus 20 you may not need all of them, but the gloves and hat for sure. And it can be just under 0 but windy, so icecold. And anyway, even if they lent for free warm clothes for the... More
