There is a good museum in the Monastery on this site with information about Apollonia and many of the artefacts found there. The Church is also worth a visit to see the frescos.

The ticket price is general for viewing the whole complex. The church is functioning. You can go inside.

A quick stop to see an old church with great craftsmanship and stunning artwork. Only part of the grounds are open for tour. Also, the entrance door may be locked so knock if it is. Admission is free and great views of the countryside.

Nice church with a lot of history. When we where there they where working outside. It is totally worth the inside of the church.

Of a civilizing movement which kept the possibility of peace alive. Full of Eastern Orthodox riches in the low light of the sanctuary.

The site is about 25 minutes from both cities. It is a great historical site. Admission is free but they accept contributions. Summer and spring are the best seasons to visit.
