It's located in the town centre and it's worth stopping by for a few minutes to see it. Apparently there is a similar gong in each country to remind the world how important peace is.

Nothing special.Once you are in Godollo you may walk aroun on the main square called Szabadsag ter (Freedom Square). About 200 metres from Hotel Erzsebet kiralyne. It is just a little fun to make some noise with the gong. A little bit faded but the sound is ok.

TripAdvisor wants me to review... a big gong!
Well, it is a big gong, it's in the centre of the town, and it has lots of flags on. Sadly the local anti-Semites, who are in the minority, regularly scratched out the flag of Israel, so the local authorities have moved it to the top of the gong, out of the reach of their tiny arms.

Its suggested to read about this project, about this monuments' history that you can find on internet, but also next to it: it is a big gong, the World Peace Gong with all the flags of the world, it's at the main square of Gödöllő - if you are there, why not to see it, it's interesting, also to understand its history, aim and symbolical system.

The town of Godolo is not far out of Budapest. It is also very easy to reach the area by public transport. The gong is special and beautiful, set in a quiet, open public square with a garden section surrounding it. It's very impressive and worth a short visit, if possible.

Reviewing the ter and gong:
A pretty place and the piac is located just next to it. Plenty of parking space. The World Peace Gong is also there.

Godollo it's village of the princess. It's excellent to visit with family and walk for the castle's park and to drink coffee in the garden.
