We went on the express experience in mid-August. We are a family of 5 from the UK - kids are 15, 14 and 12. We are not fitness fanatics but do some hill walking / cycling and I am "commuter fit" at best. I agonised...More

The Gibbon experience is something I would definitely recommend to anyone who comes to Laos! What's not to like, zip lining through the jungle and stopping in massive tree houses with amazing views. It's like living your childhood dreams. We were also very fortunate that...More

My kids and I did a classic tour in July. The treehouses are indeed spectacular and the ziplining was fun, but having ziplined elsewhere in the world, the safety here is really quite scary (which is perhaps why they have you sign a waiver to...More

I did the Classic experience this week (early August). To begin with I had some serious reservations about going on the trip due to my immense fear of heights (and the scary legal waiver they give you to sign before going on the trip -...More

We spent about 3 months deliberating whether to book as we were travelling through monsoon season and while 90% of reviews are incredible, the bad ones were seemingly always about how difficult it was in the wet season. It's a big expense, in fact an...More

We did the classic trip and loved it!! Went in the rainy season but it was still great, there were leaches but not as many as we were expecting (maybe 3 the whole time). We were expecting a lot of ziplining and not much trecking,...More

I don't understand how anyone can not give this 5 out of 5. No matter how many times I zip lined into a tree house (especially house 5) I was always smiling.

I'll start with the one con, which is that it is very expensive (relative to everything else in SE Asia - $300 USD for 2 nights). It's a hard pill to swallow for a backpacker, but I have no regrets. It was definitely worth it....More

Most of the zip lines leave from the forest so you don't see many of the drop offs before taking off. Probably a fairly accessible of challenging your fear.
