The city of Tiradentes is filled with references from the colonial times and the jesuit priests that went there to stablish the catholic church at the time of the colony.

The museum presents a quick but efficient historical relationship between catholic religious symbols and the development of certain cultural traditions still found in the region.

Although small it has a large quantity of pieces truly good pieces from the past times when the Catholic Church was ruling most countries through out Latin America.

Small but so special we love everything that we saw there..... The pieces in there are fron the 18th and 19th century. So beautiful and everything so well taken care.

Very modern style of museum inside an old construction showing liturgy pieces. Its nice seeing that a more modern linguage of presentation is starting to be shown at brasilian museums

Wonderful museum, not what you expect in a small historic town. Incredible pieces of Sacred Art and the mix of modern installations with the old religious pieces makes it unique. Unmissable!

The museum is about a year old and is set in an historic building but with a very modern extension. The cost is10 Rs but 5 for students and those of us over 60 even if from overseas. It houses the collection of church silver...More
