We had an enjoyable visit to the seal sanctuary on friday. Our 3 children had a lovely time visiting and seeing all the animals, racing from cage to cage to see what was next! A little disappointed that some cages and pools were empty, when on previous visits there had been animals residing in them, but in hindsight did think... More

And now I am able to bring my own children I still love it here. If the weather is good you can spend a whole day and take a picnic, let the kids enjoy the animals and the sunshine. They take really good care of the animals here you can tell they are all healthy and happy. The only thing... More

Firstly - there aren't many seals here. And the ones that are don't have much water to swim in. And even that water is a dirty green colour! The whole place is pretty shabby, it felt ancient. Rotting wood on the enclosures, cobwebs etc. We were round the whole place in under an hour.

Before I visited the seal sanctuary I read a number of TripAdvisor reviews, I tend to focus on the bad reviews as I imagine most people do. Most of the bad reviews are about the infrastructure being insufficient and the animals looking unhappy. Let's not forget that this is a sanctuary, more than likely none profitable working with minimal funding.... More

We visited on Easter Sunday, and had a truly wonderful day. There was four of us two adults and two children 6 & 8 years. They did an Easter egg hunt which was great fun. It was fantastic seeing all the animals, though our favourite viewing was of the two monkeys, Thomas and Cider. And for our young son whose... More
