Maharshi’s academic interests were not just limited to art and music and literature. The siksha bhavan is testimony to his vision for development in the field of sciences as well. Although this was formed much later and initially the arts classes were held in this building. Very admirable especially since I have been a science student myself.

Initially it was here where Humanities were taught but later on in the 60s undergraduate and post graduate studies in science and mathematics were also introduced. Gradually this became the science and mathematics department and Humanities moved to the Kala Bhavan area!!

Siksha Bhavan is actually an undergraduate college for the science student. This education system combine the ancient education with modern education system.

It is the science building of Viswa Bharati. Not very attractive for the visitors. If you run short of time, can skip this.

Science department named by Tagore as Siksha Bhavan. The dept boasts of some eminent names like Dr. Samir Bhattacharya, Dr. Shelley Bhattacharya, Dr. Nirmal Sukul and innumerable others who still strive hard to uplift the glamour of the University.

I have studied there for 3 long years. It had been one of the best phases of my academics. You will never feel away from home while studying here. Though this place is dedicated towards academics entirely how ever there are lots to see and dance.
Must see is the auditorium of Physics dept and botanical park in the Botany dept .
