The chinese language and exchange program of the Viswa Bharati university. There is nothing to see here, nothing at all except the big yellow building. And hence the average rating. A simple walk by.

Tagore's connection with China started from 1924 when he visited that country and invited Tan Yun Shan to visit Viswa Bharati for the spread of Chinese language and culture. Since then regular student exchange programmes continued between the two countries.

Situated next to Hindi Bhavana, Cheena Bhavana is Visva Bharati's Dept. of Sino-Indian studies where Chinese language is also taught. The main hall of the building is decorated with frescoes on the walls created by world-renowned artist Nandalal Bose and his students.

A centre for cultural exchange and learning Chinese literature. World famous Chinese scholars visit this institution for giving lectures and you would really be overwhelmed by the effort of Tagore in that age to establish such a centre.

Established by Gurudave Rabindranath Tagore. The China Bhavan, as per its name, focuses on studying of Chinese Culture, traditions and language.
The place is regularly visited by Chinese Scholars as well. The building, not too large in size, is beautifully made with intricate patterns on the exterior.
