Our approach was from the back as we went on to see this after chhatimtala. Huge building, for the humanities study. Like all other buildings, you could take a stroll around but not enter, unless you’re a student. Nevertheless it still felt good to circle around this place.

Could spend lengthy moments reading and imbibing every corner. I wonder who stole that Nobel prize. This palce has been well maintained and it is aweinspiring to learn of all the nooks and corners where the great soul created all the masterpieces.

Walk around the campus of viswa bharati university on the red soil and the serene greenery and feel the essence of the great poet. Vidya bhavan is right next to the central library. The buildings and the art work everywhere depict how education reached its heights during Rabindranath's time

You must visit this place if you want to feel the pulse of Tagore.I simply got carried with so much of heritage, culture and artifacts to display what Tagore had done.

I would start of by saying that I did took part in a certificate course of Vidya Bhavana, and lived for 4 years at a place 1.5 km away from this institution so I might have my bias.

It is a one of a kind educational institution and is rich with Tagore's heritage. Needless to say, this is not a place for the party people. If you have plans to visit Santiniketan, I am assuming you kow why it's famous. With that in mind I can assure you Vidya Bhavana is everything it promises to be.

One word of caution: April, May, June are extremely hot. The place lacks modern infrastructure but that's the point I guess.
