Bible Tower
Sep 2019
Calm and quiet place, really a religious place. But a tourist can view thrissur town from the top of the tower. The view is scenic.

A scenic tower in the Thrissur town.
Sep 2019 • Family
The Bible tower in Thrissur was actually designed as a part of the cathedral church but unfortunately it was not built then and built later. There is time restrictions for the entry to the tower. This is part of the church so discipline is to be maintained by tourists. The best views of Thrissur town can be seen from the top of tower.

Not so good Experience
May 2019 • Family
I had not so good experience when I went with my kid. I went there on second week of May at around 12.15 pm. I was not allowed to see tower since we were only two. The lady over there told me, you should wait till some one joins or else you have to wait till 1.30PM when a group of visitors are coming. This is lift operated and we need a group to see the tower. after 10 mins, 4 boys joined and she allowed us to go with those boys. After taking ticket, she told you can go by lift till 5th floor after which you should use stairs....thats it....I didnt understand why then she asked us to wait if thats the case. Even i can do that alone.I dont know why a group is needed...The other boys remained there taking photos.. I returned immediately with my kid..When I came down, the lady asked why you came alone without those boys...I said, they where not with me and why should I come with them....She said,,,thats not fair,...you went together,,,so you should return together.....what I did was not right....

I got upset and angry...why because, if there is any problem with lift, she should communicate that prior....If there is any problem with lift, she should not allow anyone no matter its a group or single person....

If church is concerned about electricity bill , we are not seeing it for free...we paid 20 rupees per person to see the tower....

Whatever is the reason, the lady over there must communicate and convince the visitor why they are not allowed not in a group.. When I tried to say that, she said that i am unnecessarily getting angry and creating problem....On second thought even I felt I am unnecessarily getting angry...I was there for peace of mind and I got upset mind....So I calmed myself and left the place.....

NB: My understanding is she was expecting a tourist group after 1 PM and was about to leave early for lunch, before the group comes...We reached there at that time, she dont want to entertain us...so she told a lame excuse to wait...Unfortunately 4 boys came and she was forced to accomodate us....When we came back alone in lift, she used it as a weapon to confront with us...

I know no one is perfect...We all may do wrong based on situation...Even I could have handled the situation in a different way....I am not expecting anyone to change their style only because it was not good to me....My point here is to share my experience so that the concernced people can rectify if there is anything to be rectified....From my side, I decided to try not to get angry for unncecessary and useless matters.

Watch the beauty of Thrissur from Bible tower!
Feb 2018
Bible tower is a one of the interesting spot in Thrissur (Erinjeri). It's good to watch the city from the top of the bible tower. Visitors can use lift facility or steps to reach the top. A good place to visit with family.

Lovely church
Jan 2018 • Couples
The Bible Tower is closed on Mondays, so I could not visit it. However, the church is amazing and worth visiting. Behind the main altar there is a prayer room. Locate the doors on the sides of the altar. The shop has a variety of books and gifts.

Poorly laid out Bad upkeep...
Jan 2018 • Friends
Take the elevator to 5th floor and walk 4 more floors to reach the top. At the top there are few windows through which you get a glimpse of Thrissur city. The window glasses are few square inches large and completely covered in dust and dirt. Quite obvious that nobody bothered to clean these from the time the Tower was build.
Now you walk 4 floors down and there is nothing at all....
on floor 5 few bibles are displayed in glass cases. the oldest one I think is from the 1800s. The glass case faces the window through which sun light and heat hits the book. One can see the open pages getting shrivelled due to heat.
Pathetic level of care.
The paintings have layer of dust visible especially on top part. many painting don't have descriptions. But there are more plaques displaying the committee....
some of the work on glass and wood are excellent, but the overall care PATHETIC...

Pictorial representation of Lord Jesus Life
Aug 2017 • Friends
Situated within the city of thrissur. One has to take tickets to visit the tower.
Within the tower, each floor is decorated with paintings depicting part of lord Jesus life. From the top floor of the tower one can take view of the entire city of thrissur with breeze engulfing the whole tower.
