beautiful mosque, that you can see from far.

both muslims and non-muslims can enter the mosque, subject to the usual rules (men and women remove shoes, women covering hair, etc)

it is a little far to walk from constantine downtown. but there is a tramline that stops in front of this mosque, or you can come by car and park at the mosque parking lot

Beautiful architecture. Easy free parking. Hichem was responsible for taking me there. Can't say enough good things about him. He can be reached by WhatsApp at +213656374008, or you can reach me via messaging.

This was a massive surprise of my trip to Constantine. A beutiful example of contemprary architecture and a ' must vist' if you're in the area, I won't spoil the surprise, but it's worth it :-)

Constantine. Great city great people. Cheap taxis and food. Excellent tram. Clean place. Stay in ibis in central area was convenient to get around. Most of city witthintwalking distance. Did not go out of the city.. Constantine has a nice airport. Only £26 to fly back to Algeria hassle free. Taxi from Algeria to Constantine was 5 hour’s. Expect some crazy driving.!😀 I enjoyed my stay. Fresh bread and food every day from great markets. Most places don’t take card. Take cash. I paid £60 taxi from Algeria to Constantine. Plane would be £26. But then you won’t see Algeria. Cash exchange from a trusted individual will give you going rate if not more. Fantastic walk round the city for viewing the deep cavern and bridges and busy markets. I went to the mosque Amir abdul kadir jilani everyday. Really great place and people. Teenagers are rowdy and there seemed to be a few people talking loudly and lot of arguments I noticed. Maybe because it was ramdhan they weren’t smoking. 🤨 apparently.

This is an elaborate mosque and worth the visit. There is also a large women's area, exclusively for women to pray, chat and commune.

It took me about half an hour to walk to the mosque from the town centre. I noticed that the modern looking tram network can take you there too if you don’t fancy the walk.
It’s one of the most beautiful mosques I have seen anywhere in Africa. The grounds are lovely too and so quiet and peaceful (and litter free). I didn’t go inside because I was wearing shorts, but I understand that the interior is also most impressive.

It's a bit out of the way from Constantine downtown and all those bridges, but then again, Constantine is no Beijing or London. In other words, this mosque isn't at the edge of the world, so don't miss this wonderful piece of architecture, in my mind easily one of the top three attractions in town.

It's a university from the front and a mosque from the back
It has another more famous and widespread name; Emir Abdelkader University/ or Islamic University or Emir Abdelkader mosque.
A beautiful and luxurious building in the style of the Maghreb Islamic architecture. It can be considered the most beautiful university building in Algeria. The university and the mosque were built with marble and granite. They have a very large yard that can be called the mosque yard or campus. A nice thing that was added years ago is to cross the tramway in front of the university. The mosque inside is very beautiful
