Much of the display in this museum comes from the archeological site at Tiddis. There is so much to see here. Do take your time.

This museum is not really big, but it's really interesting - especially Roman mosaics! I recommend to visit Cirta museu, if you visit Constantine!

We went to visit the Cirta Museum but unfortunately it was not yet open. However, Mrs. Soltani, the Conservator of the museum, was kind enough to give us a personalised tour when we explained our time situation. As she is so knowledgeable about everything within its walls, the visit was fascinating; the museum has an excellent chronological display of the various periods corresponding to this part of Algeria, as well as a collection of coins which is the largest in the world and is a unique and integral part of the museum's exhibits. Although not very big as a museum, it is certainly a compact and very informative must for anyone visiting Constantine and its surrounding areas and should definitely be visited before discovering the rest of the sites.

The museum is small, but make sure you stop, as there are numerous unique artifacts, coins and mosaics. Prehistory, Punic, Numidian, Roman, and recent indigenous peoples are represented.

Photos are not allowed. Guards check the galleries regularly, so don't try to sneak photos.

This museum contains several interesting and well preserved mosaics as well as an extensive collection of smaller artefacts sourced from the area around Constantine. The collection of Roman era and Ottoman coins is particularly impressive. Worth a visit whilst in Constantine.
