This is an amazing walk and can be done anytime of year, apart from horrendous rain or stormy dangerous weather, great for kids too, panoramic views, lake and mountain views, not too far from the road or car park , this is a point that...More

Well worth a visit. The circular walk is quite easy but you do need to have sensible and sturdy footwear as the terrain is quite rugged in places. The National Trust really do look after the site and make sure the footpaths are in good...More

Llyn Idwal is truly a beautiful place to visit at any time of the year, although care needs to be taken at winter-time, and good walking boots need to be worn. A good path leads up to Cwm Idwal from llyn Ogwen, and there is...More

Walked around the lake on a beautiful sunny day. The scenery was breathtaking. It took us over 3 hours whilst stopping for photos etc. Would recommend that you walk clockwise around the lake which means you do the harder bit first and finish on the...More

Stunning atmospheric mountain environment so close to the A5 road most people stand a good chance of walking up there without taking any risks. But wearing strong shoes and staying aware of the rough ground beneath your feet is still necessary. Both high level and...More

This is a very scenic area to visit, there's a nice gentle walk around the lake, there is a path that takes you all the way around, easily accessible from the main road, the views are breathtaking,

Well worth visiting, but be prepared for any sort of weather. It can get quite tricky to find parking space on busy weekends in the summer.

Highly recommended hike. We did this with 2 kids, thought it was beautiful. From the car park, up the path, round the lake and back took us 2-3 hours at a leisurely pace and lots of stopping for photos. The car park is small and...More

This is the actual address for the Lake, "Llyn Idwal, Bangor LL57 3LZ, UK". It's actually easy to get there by Car from Caernarfon, Bangor, Conwy, Llandudno, or Betws-y-Coed.
