I finally got to visit Squitchy Lane vineyard and they have delicious wines. As expected in the Yarra Valley, both whites and reds are full of interest and character. They also do an interesting , but delicious fume Blanc which I have not seen for years!

Thanks Steve
An enjoyable wine tasting session
We prefer to support the smaller vineyards who are sometimes of the Beaten track and more people need to seek out & support these types of vineyards otherwise they will become just growers & suppliers for the majors
Our favourites were
Rose - not your typical colour or rose this would be excellent with some Chinese food
The sav Blanc was different again to your typical savy,
The Chardonnay was to our liking more a cleaner crisper chardy without the typical sweet after taste
And the cab sav cab franc merlot was the stand out, this and the chardy 9/10
Cheers

Visited the cellar door a couple of years ago and bought some wine which we enjoyed. We like to support small wineries so we ordered some more a couple of months ago. After a lot of hassle when they mucked up the order, we eventually received our wine and were really disappointed with the new vintage, particularly when we compared it to the last bottle of the old. I haven't mentioned the grape variety because friends have since told us that they have stopped buying their wine because it is so inconsistent. Some years are good and some are rubbish. Oh well, win some and lose some!

We deliberately visited smaller wineries this visit and were not let down by Squitchy Lane.
Steve was extremely knowledgable about the wine and growing conditions in the area and a lot less pretentious than some staff at the better known establishments.
The wine we tasted (for free) was excellent and we were very happy to take a few bottles home with us.

Having made an online purchase of PN last year from this winery (and enjoying), visiting this winery while in the Region was an easy decision!

Rob, the winemaker was on site, and we were not only given excellent service, but an insight into his knowledge and passion of the vineyard & wines. These are priceless experiences that are hard to get in larger establishments.

There is a good representation of local varietals to taste.
Great timing for us, not only the current vintage Pinots, but today, I was offered samples (recent barrel extractions) of the PN clones 6 & 114!
Lovely Cab Merlot too.
Magic!
Thank you.

Nice wines here, at a boutique winery which prides itself on making the best wine from their prime Coldstream 17 acre locale. Fume Blanc something unusual in the valley. Chardonnay excellent, generous Pinot and some well balanced Bordeaux variety blends. Polite service always. Winemaker (Rob P) very relaxed and informative.

this one was a little hidden but when found it was quite a suprise. the tasting area was smallish but adequate for my group. there was also a deck out the back so you could get a wine and drink out there overlooking some vines.
