What a treasure we found in Poblet, at a working monastery with a host of buildings added on over the centuries. Our guide did a wonderful job of explaining the different areas of the complex. We were also free to take pictures, with the exception...More

A visit to this monastery is a must if visiting the area. We had a guided tour given by a very knowledgeable local guide. The buildings are beautiful, very peaceful cloisters, fascinating interiors and a magnificent bell tower. Look out for the tombs of the...More

We enjoyed a tour of the monastery at Poblet and arrived at 11.00am and fortunately parking was easy and the number of tourists small. The site was difficult for us to find on the GPS as no address is provided when you search the web...More

We do not speak Spanish, but still did not have a problem paying for the tour. It is a lovely site, and we didn't have many other tourists there, so it was very peaceful. The guide was so nice to us too. I Highly recommend...More

They only have tours in English during the high season and not many even then, We did not personally feel the lack, however. A visit to wiki the night before gives you enough background and there is a useful little hand-out... More
