About
St. Michael’s stands among Australia’s best, recently ranked as one of New South Wales top ten golf courses, and holds a national ranking amongst the top fifty. With a location immersed within the Botany Bay National Parkland, adjoining the Pacific Ocean, course designer’s Glancey and Moran(1938) had vision of designing a tough championship links course, without disturbing the natural terrain and beauty of the Little Bay peninsula (par 72). Today St. Michael’s has evolved as one of Australia’s few environmentally aware golf links by implementing specific programs aimed at protecting our resources, flora and fauna. The objective is to reduce our carbon footprint, protect the endangered species of this region and to be responsible for the way in which we function as a golfing business.

In addition to all the reviews about the layout of this great hidden golf course which is always presented as one of Sydneys' best test of golf and also its popular function area with panoramic views, mention must also be made of the bistro which is open to the public most days for lunch and sometimes for breakfast. They offer a good choice of a la carte and blackboard specials all at very reasonable prices. The service is friendly in the clubhouse and you are made very welcomed while enjoying a magnificent outlook over the coastline.

Very enjoyable golf with great sceneries. Holes 1 & 4 have temporary greens currently however we where not informed of this when we booked nor in the reception, and no customary greenfee discount was offered, which is poor PR for the club.

Every time when I returned to sydney I played in this golf course.
Why I like it ?
Golf course designed was beautiful with Australian outback atmosphere. Wattles, gum trees and many special fauna and flora. A piece of dry wood as a barrier of no entry.
Hole 6 my favourite hole drive over the heavy trees then come to the beauty of sea view as blue sky a picture you never forget.
GPS cart can drive on the fairway, I give it a like👍🏻.
Unlike Asia golf course with caddies to find your ball and give you directions. This course provides GPS checked your distance to green.
Tell you how many minutes behind or ahead schedule to complete the 18 hole round.
Input your score in the touch panel of GPS and e mail back to yourself as record.
Remind golfers to take care of your golf clubs, easily forget item at the course.
Prepare to lose ball. Very windy course!
Course was well maintained.
Green was nice and fast.
Club house food variety limited. This time in sydney gets dark around 5:00pm.
St Michael still get my vote of favourite course in Sydney.
My recommendation for improvement. Clean shoe air and water gun may be something needed to clean shoes after the game.

Shocking. What a rip off. $200 a round for 15 holes, 3 under construction that was only made aware off upon arrival. Of the 15 holes that were in play one temporary green, most tees a mess with no blue tees. Club rental $75 for a set with 11 clubs!! What a shame as I was really looking forward to playing the course.

A fabulous course with beautiful Australian landscaping. Unique design of the course enhancing the beauty of blue sky, deep sea, rivers, yellow green trees and grass. How smart it was using an old wood to indicate the outbound. Love the design of bush design bunkers.
I visited first time on Monday not many golfers, truly enjoyedthe atmosphere of golfing without the Marshal chasing you. Started at 10:30, finished 9 holes have lunch at the restaurant which served excellent cappachino. Then finished off the game with fulfilment.
The bathroom was clean and comfortable. My recommendation will be installing the golf shoes water and wind gun for shoe cleaning. Very friendly pro shop staff.
Highly recommend !!

Just wanted to give a shout out to St Michaels Golf Club and a huge rave about Morgan, the functions coordinator.
We got married here in April and everything was perfect. We had a few venues earmarked but Morgan was the final decider for us in choosing St Michaels for our big day. Right from the start St Michaels were responsive, attentive and make sure we got what we wanted. Morgan is by far the best coordinator/planner we have come across. Highly organised, accommodating, friendly and even with all my emails to her asking questions She never made me feel I was bothering her! She truly wanted us to have a great day and was genuinely kind and helpful. The guests could not stop raving about how great the food and how much there was! And coming from Greeks, that’s a massive compliment! :)
Thanks Morgan and St Michaels for making our day truly special and memorable.

Was hard to navigate around the holes , and they are not for a non regular golfer .however the view was spectacular and course is well maintained

2hrs wait for function to start and to buy own drinks then wasn't severed because club members are first served next friend that went up for a drink two behind bar staff didn't even acknowledge him someone from the back had to come and serve in the function when allowed in severed at the door an orduvre and a drink then the microphone dint work and to find someone to fix one of the guest had leave to find someone out in other area..food was ok

I am sorry to hear about your unfortunate experience. We really appreciate your feedback and take it into account in order to perfect our service as a club and as a wedding venue. I would also like to take the chance to comment on your points...
1. The 2 hour wait for the function to start is a long time to wait, however, the timing of the wedding ceremony and reception was decided upon by the Bride and Groom. Our event manager guides all of our couples to make the most informed decision when it comes to weddings/events, however, if the Bride and Groom decide otherwise, then ultimately we respect their choice. The Bride and Groom were having their photos taken out on our coast line at this time.
2. In regards to guests paying for their own drinks, the Bride and Groom decided not to place a bar tab on between the ceremony and reception, because the reception was scheduled to have unlimited beverages throughout the evening.
3. The staff member that didn't acknowledge your friend that went up to the bar, was most likely a bit overwhelmed due to the 200 people that were occupying the members lounge. It is no excuse for a lack of acknowledgement, however, we did have a few new staff members join our team during that time, and they were probably trying to adjust to their new environment.
4. In regards to the hors d'oeuvres and drinks at the door, we think it is a nice touch for an elegant wedding, and we will continue to provide this service for our wedding guests.
5. The microphone incident on the night was a bit unfortunate, however this was not our equipment's failure, this microphone was the property of the DJ that the bride and groom outsourced and hired on the night of their wedding. We advise that all external suppliers test their equipment before the reception.

I was lucky enough to get a round at St Michaels on a hot sunny day late January. Being on an average handicap (18) I knew that it would be a challenge but was really looking forwarded to it. I have to say that I was not disappointed. It was a challenge but, as we all know, if you play any hole well you get rewarded with a good score. I will be back!!

One of my top 4 golf course in Sydney. Nice proshop, helpful and pleasant lovely staff Neil, Chris, Scott and Ant.
This is my 10th visit here. If you are a serious golfer and appreciate this gorgeous course then this is your stop. Few minutes drive is Australian golf course is excellent too. Some members of Australian play here often..
Don't waste time at Coast to coast golf course next door. Just spend a bit more and you will never have any regrets play here.
Nice bar and delicious foods.
