Loved this place, loved their wines
Unpretentious, relaxed and enjoyable. A small winery by Margaret River standards but a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Offer a no cost tasting of a range of good wines that are most reasonably priced. Great spot with pleasant aspects. Bought a mixed case to take away: have ordered more since. Put it on your list of wineries to visit.

Great Place to Visit in Margaret River
We do not often visit wineries, due to the unnecessary and uncomfortable pretentiousness that, often accompanies wine tasting at many wineries in the region. We visited Redgate Wines based on the previous review that we read on Trip Advisor and that review was spot on. The charming gentleman owner and the lovely lady, Michelle, that work there were both so welcoming and generous. The wine tasting was fun, lighthearted, generous, complimentary and full of banter from the hosts. We have a small, weekend, town house nearby and have driven by this place hundreds of times without visiting. I am so glad we finally did stop in and we are looking forward to a return trip soon. We particularly loved the Shiraz Bubbles and Rhapsody in Red. Really nicely packaged up in dual gift box. They have great gift shop too, where I purchased a chic looking cool bag that is disguised as a lovely handbag. Great place to visit.

Get a glass of wine at RedGate winery!
The minute I went into the winery, I felt welcomed. I knew I stopped there for just a glass of red wine and some olives, and I was given exactly that! But also had the privilege to meet the owner, and we had a chat over a few things overlooking his wineyards. No doubt some businesses do great. It's because behind the business there are people with vision, persistence, and great communication skills. Thank you for the experience! Another highlight of my trip to the southwest of Australia.

The rudest lady I’ve ever come across at a winery. Made no effort to make us feel welcome, scolded us because we hadn’t booked to taste and continued to treat our group and the other people in the venue disgustingly. Would NEVER go back here. Worst experience for a long time.

Delightful gardens set of this beautiful vineyard. Very helpful lady offered us tastings etc. A thoroughly enjoyable visit. Purchased some delightful wines to take home and enjoy 😉. Definitely worth a visit.

I’ve been dropping into this cellar door for nigh on 20 years.

Each and every time we call in, we’re treated to friendly hosts and wonderful wines.

It’s the perfect spot for trying some remarkable wines and buying bottles as gifts (to yourself, or someone lucky!), some of which you won’t find in stores.

We stopped in for a wine tasting and took our picnic and sat on their verandah for lunch. The wines were good so we bought some and enjoyed sitting on the verandah in a peaceful setting.

A family owned winery well worth a visit. Redgate is small with wines not available from retailers. Hosts were prepared to permit tasting of a broad range of their wines explaining the key characteristics of each wine. They were very friendly and did not hurry through tasting.

Delivery of wine was free too.

Redgate is well worth a visit - friendly service and great wines at a smaller winery. Much preferred to the big showy ones!
10 years since our last visit and pleased to see and taste the quality is still there. Cab Sav was the winner this time.

I Love RedGate Winery.
The vinyards are beautiful & the wine is fantastic.

The gentleman who runs the place is very friendly & knowledgeable about his product.

I love going to visit, taste any new wines & pick up a few bottles.
Just to have a laugh with Patty or his brother Mick (Inside joke).
I always walk away with a smile.

We love Redgate! Friendly, knowledgeable staff who took the time to get us to try wines that we normally don't drink.

As we live in the other side of the country, it had been a long time since our last visit, but this one was just as good. Great wines and welcoming service. We were early, so the only ones there and had a leisurely tasting and purchase. Hope the next visit is not so delayed.
