SCAM. There are only expensive private tours!
We arrived at 10 a.m. and were told that due to $300 private tours the first normal tour ($20 per person) would be at 12:00. We came back at 11:45 and wete told we had to take a private tour as “more money for us” - for the Indians that is. “Maybe a normal tour at 1:30 p.m. but only if no private tours. Private tours is more money”.
In summary: these are money wolves that break promises for every dollar more they can make. AVOID at all cost and go to Tiger boat tours 1 mile East / they are great.

Good couple of hours spent here. It was off season, so not very busy. Enjoyed our time spent there. The alligator show was very good, don't try this at home. Just across the road is their airboat ride. I loved it. It was enjoyable, fun & exciting. The price was good also. A fun time.

The alligator show was cancelled without notice. There was only one craftsperson at the demostration huts. $25/person to visit an empty village. We asked for a refund, and the manager unapologetically said No Refund.

Do Not exceed speed limit. Not even 1 mph over. 35 means 35. 40 means 40 not 41. Stop means stop 100% . Not keep rolling slow thru sign. Last ticket I received was for 4 mph over. 37 years ago. I learned to read . Costly if you can't understand signage on road.

We just happened to stop at the Miccosukee Indian Village and decided to go on an air boat tour. The gift shop has beautiful jewelry, but the best part was our air boat tour with, who was great, informative, and friendly.
Lots to see and a very reasonable price. I like supporting the people native to this land rather than bigger, less personal operations.
We highly recommend it.

My family and I were lucky enough to get A great Person who was native to the area. It made for a fantastic family experience that we will not soon forget. Elvis was very easy to talk to and he created a welcoming experience. I do wish they had more exposure as they are the only local native outfit who does airboat tours
Perhaps the best party trick of all time was Elvis showing us how he has trained mama the gator to come to him. One of the coolest things I have seen.

Do they close Mondays or just Monday 3/15 when we drove all the way there. We were met by the Res Police who was very rude at telling us to go away. No explanation of why just told us to turn around and exit the parking lot.

Chehantamo! (Welcome) to Miccosukee Indian Village. Our family group visited here one sunny February morning. After taking photos outside in front of the impressive outdoor exhibit, we went inside and browsed through the gift shop. I enjoyed seeing all the handmade tribal art, crafts and jewelry. There were plenty of touristy items, too. I was looking for a postcard of the village but couldn’t find one. We then paid our admission into the village. Since we were very early for the tour, we decided to walk around the village on our own first. No one was at the various Chickees yet and even the alligators were just sunning themselves or sleeping. We strolled along the raised Boardwalk and out on the Observation Deck enjoying lovely views of the Everglades. By this time, more visitors arrived. Soon it was time for the announced Alligator Demonstration where we watched a wrestler perform in a pit filled with alligators. There was time for photos holding a baby alligator before the tour began.
A group of teenagers traveling from France were part of our tour group that morning and an adult with them translated everything that the guide said. They were all well behaved and listened carefully. We made several stops visiting the Cooking, Eating and the Sleeping Chickees to learn about tribal life. Following these stops were demonstrations of traditional arts such as Patchwork, Beading and Wood Carving. There was plenty of time for questions. No one was at the Bow & Archery Chickee during our visit. After the tour we went inside the attractive and interesting museum. I viewed a feature film about the Miccosukee culture and life plus other colorful exhibits, diorama, films, art and videos.
We had a wonderful visit and learn much about the Miccosukee people. It just felt very touristy to me. I must admit that all the kids were most enthusiastic about the alligator demonstration & there was a long line to hold the baby alligator after the show. The village also has a small shack called Our Little Shack that serves food such as burgers, fries, alligator bites and beverages. There are also picnic tables. If you are interested in learning more about Native Americans this is a neat place to take your family. It is very manageable and educational. Don’t miss going into the museum.

This was part of our everglades tour with air boat ride that was across the highway which was convenient. Enjoyed the gator wrestling demonstration by a very strong lady and the museum. Found some hand crafted treasures in the large gift shop. I would recommend this stop for anyone interested in First Nations history. Before this trip I had never heard about the Miccosukee and how they never surrendered and how they made a life in a very difficult environment. Did I mention everyone got to hold a baby alligator?

Our airboat driver was TeeJay. He did a thorough job explaining the history of the Miccosukee natives and their land. He was also patient in answering all of our questions. Did anyone else ride out with TeeJay?

yes there is and huge parking lot for the resort and casino gaming which they have expanded several years ago and free of charge.

Per quanto riguarda le escursioni ti consiglio di guardare quanto da me scritto in merito a Osceola airboats. Troverai tutte le informazioni che ti servono. Per quanto riguarda l’Indian village Come ho scritto ho visitato solo in negozio. Non so se l’attrazione meritasse la pena ma l’ho ritenuta troppo turistica. Ti consiglio di fare un passaggio al ristorante vicino e all’esclusione che ti ho scritto sopra. Alessandro

This not a typical village instead a place where all Indian artists have gathered and sell stuff and do stuff that promotes the understanding of their culture. It's more like fairground. You can look for hotels in Miami city instead and just drive here. It takes about an hour from main city.

The prices weren't much....maybe $7 bucks per person? I'm not sure about buses, but you can probably go look at Miami Transit to see. We had a rental car :)

Hi I am trying to reconcile recent reviews regarding food available at the village. Some recent posts say there is a cafe, some say no food. I really need to know ! will be driving thru from Miami area next week

We will be visiting the village on March 28, is there a restuarant open? I read a review that said no food available. I see the tour and airport rides run until about 4.00.....heading west so we need to know if we should eat before leaving Miami
