It is not possible to enter the Green Village, because "it would disturb our guests". Okay, I can understand that. But why is it possible to take an extremely expensive tour into the green village; that would not disturb the guests?
It seems to me that this village has nothing to do with green or ECO; it has only to do with making money.

Dear Zeep024 Warms greeting from Green Village Bali, Thanks for took the time and write your feedback about your recent experience with Green Village Bali. Green village Bali is an eco-residential area that consist of multiple bamboo houses in the community area where all the resident , guests and community life in it. In term to share this experience to the public , Green Village is arrange a tour schedule 2-times per day for anyone that like to see, exploring and experience of the bamboo house community. Our tour schedule is at 10:45 am and 12:30 and the Tour fee or ticket applied with a very reasonable price 290K Rupiah per person. We understand that people who like to participate the tour is to who have passion in bamboo building, architecture , developer or people who concern about environment. the entrance fee is just right to have those selected people that really want to know and experience the Green village rather than we put the fee so low and end up like mass tourist object that will be significantly impacting our community and the convenience of our tour guest as well. Green Village is not in term to generate a huge profit from the tour , the aim is to share the experience with who has passioned with the eco-friendly area and bamboo houses and we felt very regret to read your feedback about that. Please feel free to reach us through the available number or email and we will be very glad to arrange our private tour at Green Village Bali to you as our good gesture. Cordially ARTHA Green Village – Bali

I was there following a tour and it is definitely a must visit place for architecture lover. The tour guide explained the magic of bamboo construction in easy language that can be appreciated by layman. The villas and its surrounding is so calming, so true to nature and so picturesque. Im looking forward to stay there in the future.

Stayed 2 days in Ananda house in sublime surroundings set in the cliff above the river. The rooms were spectacular. Moved to the bamboo house for the next two days because we couldn't bear to leave. 5 levels of bamboo construction. Each room unique. The staff were lovely...no that doesn't really describe them... The staff were angels. If I could run away this would be were you would find me. Paradise.On.Earth.

Visited the village in June 2019, did the two destination tour and styed in one of their Pondoks (Pondok North) for two nights.
It was great to experience the climate in these special buildings and to learn how bamboo is being used to build these.
Unique experience which we enjoyed a lot.

This tour was a complete waste of time. My husband is a builder and very interested in sustainability as well as unique craftsmanship. While we were hoping to see how the whole process takes place (from design to product) that does not happen here, but rather you run through the high level process of what is bamboo and how they take it from stalk and then treat it in either a cold or hot bath depending on the timeframe of need for completion (hot is faster, but worse for the environment). You are unable to see the offices, finished products etc because they are afraid you will steal their designs. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY - you will learn more via google as they skirt all questions regarding exact products used (adhesives, etc) and are unable to answer questions regarding maintenance and longevity. Don’t get me started on the waiting around part either - bring us there after 5 min say we need to wait at the hotel 10min away for an hour then back to the factory after an hour to wait another 5-10min. Disappointed to say the least.

payed a lot of money to see this green village. you get to see 3 houses that they normally rent out. it's a hidden promo campagne. There is nothing green about this project. the materials are mostly natural but a lot of plastic and wastefull products are used. no longterm vision, not self sufficient (solar pannels), no waste management, etc etc. nice builded bamboo houses, overpriced and give us a geriatric hippie vibe. the guide did his best not to answer any questions about the ecology of this place. school and bamboo factory aren't any different. don't go, very dissapointed.

I saw this place on instagram years ago and have wanted to come here ever since. The tour was absolutely amazing with the nicest guide. The houses are just breathtaking. Some of the most beautiful manmade constructions I’ve ever seen. The only thing a bit dissapointing was, that I was expecting to see the beautiful bridge at sharma speing house but sadly the house was booked and there was no entrance to the most beautiful house. Anyways, I would highly recommend it, I’m definitely going back!
