Fantastic family camp
Jun 2016 • Family
We just did the 3 day family camp. What a fantastic experience. Our two girls (6 and 8) had such a memorable time. Very hands on with lots of opportunity for discover. Definitely roughing it as the yurts get hot and don't keep nature out. But it's camp so roughing it is part of the experience. Highly recommended.

A place for greener and better tomorrow

I been travelled various kinds of schools, events and resorts but Green Camp is unique and so impressive. It's built by bamboo and thatch, for roofing but building are strong enough for typhoon and earth quake.
School classrooms are form with very innovative and creative idea which I never seen before. There are many things to learn & explore at Green Camp therefore I wish to stay longer in my next visit.
Services of staffs, trip itinerary made by Green Camp, foods, tent to stay ...are excellent.
However,I'd suggest to all visitor make sure not to spend long times for transit as I'd been exhausted 11 hours at KL(Air Asia terminal) when back from Bali.

Family Fun, Nature, Challenge & Adventure
Nov 2014 • Family
Wow what an amazing 5 days of incredible non stop activity. We are a family of 3, my husband and I and our 12 year old son. I initially came across Green Camp from looking into the mind-blowing Green School in Abiansemal Bali. Green School is the greenest school on earth and Green Camp is an extension of this school and its wonderful philosophies about sustainability, education and nature inspired adventures and learning experiences. We chose to do the Family Green Camp and from the moment we arrived we were immersed in it. Our hosts and guides for the 5 day camp immediately made us feel like part of the family. Ratna, Pinetree, Furly and Kiky are inspiring young leaders who made this adventure so much fun. Our accommodation was Yurt style, entirely made from bamboo including the bunk beds, desk, chair, cupboard and even the composting toilet next door! In fact the majority of buildings and furniture are made from bamboo, it is incredible what can be made from this sustainable fast growing plant. There was barely a moment of rest during the entire stay and not a chance for any child to say "I'm bored". The traps of technology were the furtherest things from our thoughts, at the end of the day we were too tired to do anything but sleep! From a traditional blessing at the local temple, making Canang offerings, kite making, organic gardening, laughing yoga (so much fun), bamboo raft building and sailing on the Subak, tubing and swimming in the Ayung river, traditional Megibung banquet, delicious food throughout, Mt Abung hike, organic chocolate making, night safari, natural dye making and painting, local village and rice field walks and the highlight (especially for our 12 year old) was Mepantigan or traditional mud pit wrestling! We did many other things during our 10 day stay in Bali and when you ask our son what his favourite thing was he will say Green Camp. I'd say it was ours too. 100% recommended to any family wishing to experience a different side to Bali.

Unique Camp
Aug 2014 • Family
I researched Green Camp as much as I possibly could before we left Australia, looked at photos and maps and generally tried to ensure, as one parent travelling with four children, everything would be as was advertised.
I have no hesitation in stating everything was better than advertised and the photos do not do Green Camp justice, like many photos on any site.
This was a wonderful experience on so many levels and I would highly recommend any family taking their children.
There was barely a minute to spare so no risk of anyone getting bored, however as in traditional Balinese life nor was anything rushed.
Green Camp offers a well balanced program to challenge parents and children alike, whilst sharing their knowledge on sustainable eco living.
Five star camp without a doubt. Do yourselves and the environment a favour and take your family to Green Camp. If every family takes one eco change home with them then slowly but surely our countries, states and cities will begin the positive change to a cleaner, safer and sustainable way of life.

Don't miss this!

Bamboo buildings to blow your mind. I have just come back from the Bamboo U course at Green Camp and feel it is one of the best things I have ever done in my life. My vision for the future has been cleaned and I won't be looking back. Connecting with such a wonderful crew of people from all over the world with so much passion for bamboo, has lit a fire in my heart that is burning the trash of the past and opening doors I had never imagined were there. Immense gratitude to the organizers and everyone who came. Keep it up!

Great Experience
Aug 2014 • Solo
I booked for the 5-day Bamboo U: Bamboo Build and Design Course and everything was incredible! From the friendly and helpful staff, to the delicious organic food. The course was fun and I met a lot of cool and interesting people. Melissa and Eddie, our instructors made the whole experience more memorable. They encouraged real connections which helped solo travelers like me to talk to everyone who did the course.

I highly recommend a stay here a booking with one of their courses. I am sure to book my kids for their kids camp next year and I can't wait for them to be more aware of the environment as well.

Although there were no locks for their lockers and there was no wifi in the lodge, it was okay since it made me focus more on my experience there and left my work completely. (You can go to the teacher's lodge to get wifi if you really need it)

PS. We did a lot of walking during the course, so I lost a little bit of weight. Which was a bonus. So, Yay!

Bamboo U, August 2014.

I have been thinking about doing this Course during summer in Bali. So, I saved my cash then invested. It was most worthwhile, especially meeting like-minded people and forming links. Yes, we are all connected. Green Camp was the catalyst and bought academics, architects, designers, craftsmen and passionate people together in a most beautiful environment. We shared our strengths, knowledge and passions about our planet. On reflection, a most valuable experience for the privileged who took part.
