吉田ルートの六合目にあります。山頂の天気や気温を予め知る頃が出来て重宝しました。又、登山ルートを紹介しら各国語のチラシも準備されており、登山道に不案内でも山小屋の名称から位置関係を測る事が出来ました。猶、本年はヘルメットの無料貸出（デポジットあり）が実施されていました。

富士山のスバルライン5合目から登り始めて6合目にあります。200円のチップ制トイレがあります。ここを過ぎると7合目までトイレがないので、利用しました。

今年の登山では、天候に恵まれ登下山共にほぼ快晴でした。一応、万端の装備を整えて来たのですが、途中までTシャツだけで登山が出来ました。吉田口6合目の安全指導センターを通過する登山客でも軽装が目立ちました。ここには、山頂の天気と気温が明記されており参考になります。ただ、山の天気は変わるのが早いので、あくまで参考としかなりません。猶、サンダル履き等で登山の準備が不完全な観光客は、間違いなくここでストップをかけられます。

富士吉田ルートの六合目にある、事実上のゲートだと思って良いでしょう。
軽装のまま誤って登って来た人は、ここでUターンする事になります。
昨年の協力金徴収は、ここの近くで行われていましたが、2014年度は五合目に移動していました。
猶、ここで山頂の天気と気温が表示されているので参考に出来ます。

富士登山のメインルートとも言える、富士吉田口の6合目にあります。
スバルラインの5合目自体にはゲート等は無く、5合目から直ぐに下り登山道になる為、軽装で進む観光客が後を絶たないそうです。
どんなに軽装で6合目まで来ても、通常であればここの監視員がストップをかけてくれます。
当然ながら、この先サンダルやスニーカー等の軽装で登山する事は有り得ません。
このゲート（建物）の前には、山頂の天気や気温も掲げられており、これから登山する場合の参考になります。
猶、2013年の登山シーズンには、ここの近くで協力金の受付カウンターが設置してありました。
