Edelweiss is our go to ski hill in Ottawa. With the expanded highway to Wakefield it makes it easy to access. It has some of the tallest runs in the region and has multiple skill levels. The reason this is my regular is that they have a great deal on season nightpasses, and which starts earlier than the other hills (3pm), and is open 7 nights a week including Sundays which makes it great for afterwork AND weekends.

Went with my 3 teens and my friends two boys. Went on March 10th and it was snowing and just at freezing.

Couple of things, website is tricky to navigate to get deals on webtickets, $19.99 for evening skiing (3-10) rentals are the worst. I would recommend doing it in person. Rental/lift ticket deals are Monday and Friday where your lift ticket is included in the rentals, this was not one of those days. We needed 4 rentals and paid on-line, spent forever answering age, weight, height (took about 20 minutes) only to get to the rental place and have to do it all over again. Don’t waste your time on-line as the staff working it truly didn’t give a crap ... we’ve gone numerous times and loved it, usually quite good, but never did on-line rental and after that experience...never will.

Love that food prices are reasonable and you can pack food, lots of places to sit and store your stuff.

Lift operators were pleasant

We skied in the rain and snow and not much you can do about Mother Nature

I have never been skiing before so I wasn't sure what to expect.
The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable.
The hills were way bigger than I thought they would be. Having never skied before I felt like their 'bunny hill' didn't accurately prepare you for even the 'easy street run' but again it was my first time.
My husband and daughter ski often and they had an amazing time.
We had lunch upstairs in the restaurant which I found to be really great value for the money.
There was only one waitress working and she was extremely busy but each encounter we had with her she was fantastic.
We skied for about six hours that day so amazing value for the money!

The girlfriend and her father invited me out and was expecting to have a great time!
Unfortunately this didn't happen, we drove an hour to find out they were having technical difficulties with the one lift they had open. that being said we didn't trust their abilities after seeing people stuck on the lift for quite some time.

Oh, did I mention I drove an hour!? NOT IMPRESSED

I loved this hill. The runs, staff, rentals and restaurant were all awesome. We stayed for night skiing and had the best time. We ate in the bar area and had the pizza and club. Both were really amazing!!!

We went for the last day of skiing and the price listed online was half off. When arrived and paying the price was handed over on the charge at full price. Had we not been watching we would have just missed it. Only when questioned about it they said you can get that by buying online with your phone right here. Too funny, the wifi was down and not able to connect. Went upstairs to get a signal and bought on phone only to go back downstairs to pick up the tickets. Not the type of way to leave a good impression. I understand when you need to buy more than a day ahead of time online for it to be valid but this was not the case here. Just sell them as advertised next time. Just putting people through the hassle felt cheap.

We went in for hot chocolate in the afternoon and it was granular/sandy and not nice. I get it that they are closing down for the season but this is not how to finish things off. Last time we were here the chips we bought actually had the same day expiry as we bought them. Crazy busy lines in the cafeteria that day too. Pack you lunch and bring a thermos to hang by the fire in the colder times. Nice area around the fire. Old school lodge feeling.

Conditions were great and groomed runs for even the last day of the year. No lines and pleasant staff all over.

I bought my tickets on line for tubing all day with my granddaughter and thought that it would last until 6pm. When arrived around 2pm, found only two tracks open with a big line up down and up.

This was disppointing that I only stayed until 4pm when it closed and paid more than it is worth. I paid less at another place where we had more fun.

The only reason I gave it a 4 circles is that the person up hill did his out must to spin us while taking the descent. His name is Ross and he deserves those 4 circles.

But just for Edelweiss it would be only 2 circles.

Went skiing for the day at Edelweiss while visiting family for the holidays. We were able to get lift passes for $20 a person and there was one lift and a few greens, 1 blue and the terrain park open. I rented skies and they were pretty decent and included poles, a helmet and boots for $46 tax in. The ski equipment was in pretty good shape and I had no problems hitting the slopes in it. As it was early in the season there were not many runs open but the ones that were nicely groomed and not icy in the slightest. As it was mid week there were no lines and we were able to zip up and down the hills with ease. My only gripe would be that the food was terrible. The bistro wasn’t open so we could only order from the cafeteria and it was expensive and poor quality. Save your money and pack a lunch instead.

We've tried all the hills in Ottawa with both young kids and teens and found this hill to be the most consistent in providing options for all our ability levels and with the fun factor.
The beginner runs can merge into intermediate and the intermediate runs have amazing small moguls and little ramps that ease you into taking more chances and having some fun. The SnoParc is great for kids who want to take more chance with trick skiing or snowboarding, lots of ramps and sliderails. There is an expert only hill with almost no one skiing on it.
The slope keeper ensures the lifts are seated with as many people as possible to keep the lines moving fast - it's very organized.

The only downside is the time waiting for rentals, if you are renting, prepare to wait 30 minutes every time. It's just not efficient.
When you look back at the hill, take a picture - be impressed with yourself for skiing that hill!
The best promotion year after year is the $38 spaghetti - lift ticket, full rental set, spaghetti, salad and dessert included!
Sound wild? it is!
Go for it, you won't be disappointed.
