My first visit to Guangzhou decided to visit to Gulong gorge glass bridge. Experience at the place was amazing and unforgettable.
Candice guide was very knowledgeable, her English was very easy to understand and caring
Candice helped me to take photos and videos. Enjoyed the whole journey.

Beautiful limestone, low--peak, mountains. nice tropical vegetation due to the monsoon like climate. Mostly overcast and 23C on our April visit.

The place is really beautiful. It definitely worth a visit. I am not into describing the place as it is not easy to find the right words to depict how beautiful this area is. I will focus on how to get there from Guangzhou as I think this is more useful for readers. Firstly you have to go to Guangzhou Railway Station (Metro Line 2 - the blue one). After that you have to go to the bus station. The exit of the Metro Station is F. Before exiting you have to walk a pretty long way. Once out of the metro station you need to cross the street on your left. There is an overpass that will help you go directly to the bus station ticket office. Once you have purchased the ticket, you need to go to upper floor and wait for your bus. Your destination is the city of Qingyuan. Getting there takes around 90 minutes. Then you need to get a taxi to go to the gorge. The price for one way is around 80 yuan after bargaining and the trip takes around one hour. Bear in mind that on special occasions such as National Festivities there won't be any taxi service as it is not convenient for taxi drivers to get you there. It is very likely there will be never ending queues as it happened to me. You might be stuck in the traffic jam for hours which means you won't be able to get to destination. Since it is a very popular destination among local tourists, it is highly recommended to go to Gulong Gorge during working days. In my case I went there during the National Day celebrations...stupid me. However I managed to get there by asking for a lift to a moto-taxi driver. You can easily find them. He could cut the queues by driving on the sidewalks whenever possible and by zigzaging among the cars blocked in the traffic jam. Bear also in mind that once you are at the ticket booth you have to queue to purchase your ticket and then you have to queue in order to catch a shuttle bus to arrive at the entrance of the scenic area. With that being said, if you are in Guangzhou and aim at visiting the Gulong gorge, you should take into account that a considerable amount of time is needed to get there and come back. I hope all of the above can be of help.

Overall this is an amazing place and worth visiting , we didn’t try the drifting as the queues were crazy long as we went on a Saturday . If you have time try this on a weekday and May be less people (not sure though)
Reaching here :
For the fellow foreigners who wanna try this as a DIY trip, it’s not that difficult.
All the day trips were super expensive and we wanted to try a DIY trip from Guangzhou. It is quite easy to reach here . I’m foreigner and can’t speak Chinese , but my partner can speak a bit of Mandarin and that helped .
Even if you don’t speak mandarin , you can register for Didi China app using your foreign number (which is what I did and add a foreign credit card) and book a ride from Guangzhou to Gulong Gorge.
Location for drop off : Gulong Xiayuan Ecology Tourist Zone 古龙峡原生态旅游区. Make sure you ask the driver to take you to the ticket entrance station , they have good signboard for this! Didi costed around 270Yuan one way
We asked our driver to wait for a couple of hours and we paid like 100 Yuan extra for him to take us back as well ! Even if your driver doesn’t wanna wait , there are taxis available after you finish your tour.

Much cheaper to get their on your own! You can order tickets online cheaper but we paid at the ticket office, costing 149 RMB per person. From our hotel we travelled by taxi from the Dong Fang Hotel to Guangdong Bus Station, costing around 29 RMB. From Guangdong Bus Station there are buses every 30 minutes to Qingyuan, the first bus is 6.30am, taking just over an hour. Behind the Qingyuan Bus terminal you can negotiate a Uber at 80 RMB one way to the Gulongxia Ecology Resort or 150 RMB return trip. We negotiated for them to wait for us, taking just over 2 hours, or you can get their phone no. and call them to collect you. A standard taxi costs around 240 RMB one way! The Uber took around 40 minutes to get to the park. Be careful not to go to the wrong sky glass bridge park! Either way the park is a lot of fun, with a lot of walking, but there are lots of rest stops & food places! If you can, go on a week day as there are less people in attendance! The Glass UFO Platform is a buzz, with the nine-waterfalls in the background. The park is entertaining, stunning scenery and they try & scare you on the glass walkway with sounds & appearance the glass underneath you is cracking! Highly recommended!

Offically opened June 2018. Location of this tourist spot is in Qingyuan, a 24mins train from Guangzhou South Station. No public transport to Gulongxia, either self drive or get a cab there. From Qingyuan Railway Station, There are buses going to Niuyuzui Scenic Resort with a small scale glass bridge, not so impressive as Yun Tian Bo Ba. Therefore please go to the correct destination. Book admission ticket online is cheaper than ticketing counter. Opening hours from 9 am to 4 pm. For those who are more adventurous can take the international drifting arena at 3 different admission prices.
There are many steps to climb to get to the circular glass observation deck protruding 236ft from a cliff edge at 663 feet high. So for those with height phobia is a great challenge to take. Best to wear comfortable walking shoes. The first section of the glass bridge is just a photo taking long walkway, required to put on their shoe covers. The other section is the circular glass deck overlooking the waterfall. Enjoy the scene.
Would greatly recommend this tourist spot.

A group from work came to this attraction as a team-building exercise. I was told that we'd be "rafting" and got really exciting as I love to kayak and canoe and generally steer my boats. This, alas, is not rafting. What it IS, is an hour-long water slide with some controlled rapids mixed in with a few quiet, lazy spots. If you're from a place where you might "float the river," this is a step up from that.
When you get here you can buy a ticket and rent a locker {not sure on the price of the ticket, but a locker is 20 RMB}. The changing rooms and showers are nice {the first time I have seen individual stalls with curtains in a changing/shower room in China!} though the lockers are small.
You have to take a little bus up to the start of the ride, and walk about 100m. Then you get some dubious (but bright) helmets and pfds before you get in your boat. There are workers posted throughout the slide so that if you get stuck (this happened to us a few times) they'll push you along with a bamboo stick or hold you with the stick so that their friends can take pictures {happened to the foreigners on the trip. That part was weird}.
Just be aware you will be SOAKED on this ride. Wear a swimsuit and bring a full change of clothes. The 20rmb locker was worth the price.
All-in-all, I'd do this again. It was a lot of fun, the water was clean and cool, and it was a nice way to pass the time in Qing Yuan (which is a pretty spot in it's own right). Also bring a water proof camera!

My header will stop nobody from going, of course, but this is how I feel after returning from a group tour that included climbing to the top and being on the glass bridge as well as the circular outlook. The natural beauty is undeniable, the waterfall is high, the air is clean enough, and so on. But this was the ultimate exercise in domestic Chinese tourism and, being honest about it, you need to suspend (no pun intended) all sense of pleasure to fight your way along with the many, many thousands of others who all want to do exactly what you are doing in a space meant for many fewer thousands of people.
Walking on these two structures means a climb of roughly 1000 steps as well as uphill (and some downhill) slopes narrowly snaking through the mountainside and gorge walls. It was incredibly hot and the path was so jammed with people it was
not possible to maintain speed. Reaching the bridge, and finding some sort of soft slippers to fit over your shoes, you look out and see the bridge is packed with people, 99% either taking or being in photos and so therefore stopping to do that.
Was I wondering if the bridge would just collapse under the weight? No, because China is smart enough to know this is how it will be. But don't worry too much about fear of heights because the view through (not besides) the bridge is blocked with people. Having done that, you continue uphill to the circular promontory that in effect means going out and walking back, with guards shooing you along all the while: "Keep moving! Move along! Don't stop!"
There are peripheral attractions, for a fee: ziplining being the main one (seemed like it cost RMB188, but we didn't do it) and popular at that. The whole place is overshadowed by a gigantic sort of King Kong.
The access road is also the exit road, narrow and packed for miles with people trying to get in and out. Motorcycle taxis help some folks but the jams were impassible for much of the way, several hundred cars.
Sorry, long post. My tips for you: whether on a tour (preferable) or on your own, find out the opening hours and BE THERE WHEN THEY OPEN. You may then be able to get one of the first shuttle busses to the staging area and have a slight chance of avoiding the incredible human jam going up and down. If you succeed with all this, you will be able to say you did it, and almost certainly once will be enough -- unless you're a tour guide! Good luck.

As noted on one of the sites in the Gulong Canyon Ecological Tourist Area, Gulong Canyon is in the mountains of North Canton. The area contains high mountains covered in greenery, deep river valleys, majestic waterfalls with tree twists and overlapping layers of dropping water, exotic flowers and trees, areas of lush cane growth, caves, dense primitive jungles, over 2,000 kinds of national protected animals and plants, and some of Chinese’s best breathtaking, tranquil and amazing views.
A great place to spend a day and fill yourself with organic views.

Hi on what site can we buy tickets online. I can not find the link to the glass bridge ticketing website. Thanks in advance

Hi, i am interested to go there, i will stay in guangzhou south station, and will take high speed to qingyuan station so:
1. after arriving qingyuan station what should i take to go there?
2. i will bring my mom who is 65 years old and my kids along, so how long we should walk to find the top of glass bridge from the gate? and if it is too hard for senior age do you have any suggestion for other glass bridge in qingyuan which is easier to go? thank you
Written 1 January 2019
Hi, the only transport there is by private car. There is a bus stop and several private car driver will approach you.
Advise you to buy the tickets on line to avoid long queue. Depending on the crowd, you still have to take a short free shuttle bus. You need to walk and some steps before reaching and it is a little tiring.
There is another glass bridge which we went there by mistake is not as impressive as gulong gorge
