This beach was a lot of things that Maehama beach wasn't. There is plenty to see while snorkeling here, and lots of shells and sea glass to collect. There are tables you can rent with umbrellas and couple of food trucks with drinks and food. It was a nice change of pace from Maehama, but Maehama was definitely better.

Expansive beach, which runs out into a sheltered bay filled with coral. You're able to rent snorkeling gear on the beach, as well as picnic tables. The coral reef is dying back significantly, especially close to the shore, so recommend swimming out as far as you're willing to get a decent view of what it should look like.

Sure the facilities are a bit raw, but that's what you want to preserve such a natural hidden gem! Water is about a warm 82f in late July, and is calm as it can be. As the growing, living reef provides a barrier to keep out all the nasties of the big bad ocean out and maintain in a safe... More

Aragusuku beach is not to be missed. It is so beautiful: sand, tropical trees, clear, clear, warm water. The fish are just a few feet in the water and it is shallow for a long ways out. The fish are jewel colored and amazing. It is warm and wonderful. There was a breeze but the way the coastline is formed,... More

Soft sand beach and lots of diverse fish (never saw so many nemos or sea anenomes in one spot!), coral, and sea snakes in beautiful turquoise waters. Went back twice because its one of the few locations you can snorkel at even on a very windy day given that the hills block most of the wind. I was shocked when... More

Great snorkeling spot. Facilities available too eg tables and beach umbrellas, toilet and food van. A nice place to spend a few hours. Great for snorkeling lovers. One of the top 5 snorkeling spots in Miyakojima

We loved this beach. It was the best location for snorkeling with its close shallow coral full of sea life. The entrance through the trees is also very enchanting. However what ruined it was the amount of rubbish washed up onto the beach. It limited the beech are because it was full of debris.

This is (in my opinion) the best snorkeling spot on the East coast of Miyakojima. There are wooden picnic tables where you can dump your stuff while you go in the water, and you can rent an umbrella all day for 1000 yen. The people who work there are unbelievably kind and enthusiastic. They are so happy when you express... More

Quite average beach, sands were not good enough, some business along the beach, somehow noisy and run-down...

An awesome section of beach down towards the south eastern end of Miyako-jima, that has pretty much all you need to spend your day down the beach. The only reason i don't give it a rating of 5 as it is not the best beach for general swimming, but i think most people would be going here for the snorkeling... More
