It is a city under another city. It is about 2000 years old. Still being excavated. Amazing to go thorough the paths and corridors and discover how well the underground city was built.

I couldn’t believe it! A city under a city. This is the greatest place I had time to go, when I was in Kashan. At first, everything seems to be normal and simple, but when you go through paths/corridors and see that it’s a three-level...More

To climb down stairs and walk along one narrow corridor isn't worth the drive. Entrance is Rial 200.000. The place is cool and in deed interesting but with only the one corridor open I would skip this place and wait until more areas are accessible.

Narrow channels are digged in two levels deep underground to provide a have for people. It is all spreded under the city in a vast area and well splitted into different rooms to make living possible for 3 weeks. The most amazing part to me...More

Not far from Kashan in the city of Nushabad, there is the recently founded caves of the underground city. It seems to be caved as an alternative city during wars. it has three floors but you can just visit one part of one floor.
