We stayed at the Rincon condos, a 250-meter walk from Bejuco Beach, and had a wonderful stay. We have two young boys, who loved the long walks to find seashells and sand dollars and the gentle rolling waves. My wife and I loved the sunsets and the convenience of the Town Center shops and restaurants, as well as a local soda; for dinner one night, we opted to walk down the beach to Don Toro for cocktails and food and to watch the incredible sunset. The surfing is great, which drew us to the beach in the first place, and yet it’s mostly empty, so there’s still privacy and space. It’s possible to walk out on the beach and look in both directions and count the number of people on the beach on one or two hands. I just hope the crowds stay away!

We enjoyed the very clean apartment and facilities with beautiful views. The pools were very relaxing and nice break from the heat of the day.

Beautiful, gorgeous beach but we got viciously robbed. We were 5 feet from our car and must have left it unlocked for a short time, but someone came in and took 3 backpacks and a purse in the blink of an eye--iPads, computers, passports, cards, cash, medicine, gone in a flash. We deliberately went somewhere where we could see our car and were totally shocked.

If you are looking for a humongous beach with very few people, soft sand, and plenty of waves without too much power or height, then this is your place.

I really do regret having to write this review, especially after having been visiting this area for 15+ years. But I think that travelers should be aware.

Yes. The beach is relatively undiscovered until recently. The sunsets are magnificent. But CR has obviously determined that Bejuco is the next hot spot (unlike Manuel Antonio which now is a dumpster fire.) The roads to Bejuco have been paved and bridges re-built. Weekends are chaos now.

Truth time. Most Ticos are sweet folks trying to get by. But sadly, many have become accidental thieves just waiting for an opportunity to relieve visitors of their electronics and funds. I'm an experienced traveler, but have lost much $ over the years and this last trip 3 cell phones and an Ipad. It happened quickly. The thief even faced my little 11 y/o boy. Fortunately, my son was not hurt in this interaction.

My suggestion: stay somewhere else and go there to see the best sunsets. Lock everything in the car trunk.
So sad. But please, please hear my words.

I liked this beach for lounging and walking along it. I really wanted to swim, however the break waves were stretched quite far into the ocean and some were large waves crashing, and I was skid-dish to go in that far. But there is so much space and it’s quiet on the beach itself. Barely any people on a Wednesday. We also went to Los Almendros restaurant there and it was delicious 😋

We've been coming here for years now. Used to be mostly empty but with the recent developments in the area there are more people now. Still, LOTS of room though. There is a lifeguard now- which I guess is a good thing. The rip currents can be bad so be aware. Definitely a gorgeous Beach!!

Home away from Home, Been here since October, the beach here is quiet during the week days but it can get busy on the weekends. Bring plenty of off, the noseeums are plentiful.
