Waste of time & money!! Just a piece of plastic coated paper of info on the small hunting lodge. Again no photos. Much better palaces throughout Bavaria & almost all of them let you take photos. I wonder how much they had to donate to...More

A beautiful and stately hunting lodge of the German Royalty. If you are going to be in the area this is a beautiful property that is being maintained and represents an era gone by. Enjoy the art, tile work and details of this architectural delight.

This beautiful little house was a "tryst" destination for the royals - off the beaten path where lovers could meet away from court gossips. In the back is a cute little chapel - be sure to peek in the windows there!

The story and history about this UNESCO Site is interesting. It has the makings of a real scandalous time in history. The little chapel in the back is beautiful inside. The best way to see the chapel and take a picture is to hold your...More

What a beautiful little gem of a house, and quite beautifully maintained. Mostly Rococo it gives a feel for the great party's that must have been held here in the 18th century after a day's hunting. Do get the audioguide, it's very valuable in detailing...More

Together with Augustusburg it forms a historical complex listed as a UNESCO World Heritage. Charming Rococo hunting lodge bears striking resemblance to the Amalienburg pavilion in the Nymphenburg park in Munich.

Here you can walk around on your own. You get a whispersystem (many languages, also Dutch). The comments are splendid, it shows you so many details in the rooms you otherwise would not see. Very well done. The rooms are so cosy and well done...More

Falkenlust is about 2 km from Bruhl palace in the middle of fields. Entrance ticket combined with Bruhl palace. It was built specially for one hobby - falconry. All the rich baroque interior decorations remind of this. Very beautiful and very rich. We did joke...More

It's a bit unfair to really compare, I know, but Palaces of wealthy muckety-mucks are difficult to not stack rank in the mind’s eye. And while it does not reach the grandeur of Versailles or intimate Rococo style of Palace Sanssouci, Schlösser Brühl (Augustusburg /Falkenlust)...More

Falkenlust was very nice and we could follow the handouts given to us. We took our time but as there was little furniture etc it really was more about the tapestries, paintings, and wall furnishings. I can't understand why this rude man is still working...More
