With over three decades of cumulative experience in Wildlife & Nature photography, Safari Monks was founded to build the best and most agile experiential travel company in the world while continuing to impart our knowledge in the art of wildlife & nature photography change the way our guests see the world! We conduct experiential wildlife trips, bespoke safaris in Indian sub-continent, Africa and Polar Europe regions. Our offerings vary from fixed date itineraries to fully customised safaris which bring in its fair share of luxury & exclusiveness. Our trips & itineraries are personally crafted to suit everyone. Transparency, unparalleled safari experience, safety & knowledge sharing are core beliefs and the building stones on which Safari Monks is established on. We also impart our knowledge of wildlife and photography to our guests through photography workshops with the hope that we change the way you see our natural world!

Just one word to describe this team-WOW
We planned our Kenya trip for the Great wildebeest migration with Safari monks and this is the best decision ever.
They took our requirements reg the places we want to visit in kenya, the type of accomodation we would prefer, food preferences and took care of everything while planning!
They guided us on visa process , yellow fever vaccine, packing list etc!
Coming to execution of the trip, it was bang on point!
The guide Nelson was so so good during wildlife safaris while Abhilash tracked wildlife.
They both assured we had the best photo ops of all our sightings which is very very imp when it comes to a wildlife vacation!
The accommodations thy booked us was top class .. at all 3 places Amboseli national park, Lake Naivasha , and masai mara!
Food was great at Olgatuni camp inside the masai mara reserve.
abhilash and nelson went that extra mile so that we dont miss the great migration.
There was a news of migration happening on the day we had balllonn safari, they connected with the balloon safari guys and asled them to drop us near the migration where they both were already waiting ! We spotted everythung- lions hunting , cheetah hunting, hyenas hunting, elephants in amboseli , hippos in Naivasha !!
Overall the trip was very well plannned and eveb more well executed!!

We found the safari monks on google. We were bit apprehensive because we never had planned with them.
So we planned trip from 6th to 11 th july to Kenya, Africa. I would say one of the best planned and executed trip ever. I am very thankful to Mr. Abhilash and Kirti for the execution of the trip and for taking updates on daily basis. Every aspect and every need was mentioned in itenary and fulfilled by them.
I would recommend them for every trip because it comes with no headaches and total enjoyment.
The hotels and camps booked at Nairobi, lake nakuru and Masai mara were all above class and with all facilities, even 3 time meals.
The guides and safaris provided were experienced locals which helped us in spotting every animal. We saw all the big five in Masai Mara including other big cats and wilds within 3 day tour.
Even before the trip Mr. Abhilash would answer all out doubts and questions which was commendable.

What a splendid experience it was in Masai Mara with the best in class expert Abhilash Kar from Safari Monks guiding us the whole time! Every possible detail was attended to, including a surprise birthday celebration as well! Spotting unique animals every few hours with the help of Abhilash and Peter (the Masai driver) made the trip so so special. If you’re a photography enthusiast (or not!), you’re in for a treat with the talented wildlife photographer Abhilash himself! This trip was the stuff dreams are made of. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 💯

Had a SPECTACULAR experience at Masai Mara with Safari Monks. We had a week long trip and every aspect was planned beautifully. Our guide and driver were both extremely knowledgeable about wildlife and the Mara landscape, and effortlessly took us to the best sighting spots throughout the trip. Highly recommended!

Our trip to Masai Mara was superbly organised. Right from pre-travel tips and guidance to the fantastic experience of safaris and accommodation arrangements, it was an enriching experience. The team also ensures that they give you the best guide/driver options during their safaris who know where it is likeliest to find the best wildlife spotting. Added bonus is pro photography tips that ensure you have memorable records of your time in the park.

We took Masai Mara trip with Abhilash Kar. This is unequivocally my best trip after visiting multiple countries across Asia and Europe. He ensured we had no issues or any friction at any point. Right from landing into Nairobi to landing into Masai Mara and back to Nairobi every aspect of our journey was seamless. Abhilash is very knowledgeable and passionate about wildlife and we were inspired and loved every minute of the trip.

Gave it a try on a solo trip and was totally worth it. They arrange everything for you so no hassles at all. The safaris were a little hectic but that’s what you’ve got to go for spotting the big cats I guess. The guides that Safari Monks work with know just about anything and keep you fully entertained and curious. Do try out the night safari too!

A big thanks to Abhilash Kar and Kirti Ranjan Nayak for setting up the Corbett trip in Dhikala. They left no stone unturned to make sure that our stay was comfortable and we manage to get the best shot photographic opportunities during safaris. And last but not the least, some incredible tiger sightings with the help of the best guides and skippers goes a long way in making this trip a memorable one.

Working with Safari Monks was a true pleasure. Abhilash created an incredible experience for us that felt intentionally crafted based on our goals. We've traveled the world with tour guides and we put a lot of trust in these tour outfits to help us execute a safari - and we know we will be trusting Safari Monks again for this whether in India or elsewhere. I am so happy to have experienced Masai Mara with Safari Monks. Raj helped us plan everything well in advance and made sure we were comfortable from the moment we landed in Nairobi. Our Masai guide, Dominic was so full of information and always eager to take us to the best spots in Mara. We loved it and will definitely come back for more!
