You will be welcomed with a per head chargable ticket which includes unmanaged parking. Its a RTDC managed place. The ticket includes a welcome drink from lake view restuarant. Everything is overpriced here in name of lake view. The boat ride is good but seems overpriced with fixed rate of INR 800/-. Good for a short time tour.

It is a beautiful lake with natural beauty and a common point even for localities to visit for picnic. But it is worth only if you know where exactly to go. The point marked on google maps is highly misleading and leads you in the middle of the jungle. we saw many people get lost , along with us. there are several entry points which are nowhere marked. Boating is banned these days so no need to waste time looking for the boating ticket point. There are random 2-3 natural points of entry which are really raw with natural beauty. its quite and serene. there also happens to be a magarmach point, again only if you are able to find it!. then there is a major entry point which was very crowded and i would not recommend that to enjoy the beauty of the lake. it is all fenced. to find the right point , reference, it si just 0.5 km away from "desi thaat restort"so then u can take a ticket from this crowded place to enter further to the Rajasthan tourism development area, leading to the Siliserh fort, converted to a resort. there is a cafe up on top serving tea coffee and some snacks. u can sit there and enjoy the view of the massive lake at peace (not really, there are a zillion of monkeys!) the monkeys do not harm , but always on a look out for something to eat and mostly fetch fanta! but when in alwar do visit this lake, its beautiful. watch out tfor the right way, involve the locals and ditch google maps here.

Located in Alwar Rajasthan .
It's a very beautiful huge lake .
Can be spent hours viewing beautiful lake .
One can enjoy different types of boat rides like paddle boat , motor boat , luxury boat , speed boat , jet ski etc. depends on your budget .
Entry fee Rs 100 per head . There is restaurant also . Inside it you can have either one cold drink or coffee or water bottle for absolutely free.. Snacks n meals also available .
Parking near or little far available , not a big issue .

Just 15/18 Kms from Alwar city is this beautiful natural lake surrounded by Aravalli hills that provide the water runoff to keep it filled. It is supposed to have crocodiles, and the birds are plentiful and beautiful. You can also see Sambhar deer in the hills surrounding the lake. The boating access is from a so called Lake Palace (RTDC hotel, in very bad shape). They charge a cover charge of Rs 100 or so per person to visit the "dirty" Palace and another Rs 800 or so for a short motor ride in a boat. The lake ha s a couple of nice hotels on the road parallel to the palace. The views are beautiful. Take a drive around to find more options for food and relaxing spots.

One of the attractions near Alwar. As our resort was on the lakeshore we enjoyed the view a lot.
Even after being the the resort we went to see the real beauty of the lake with my young children specially to show the alligators and monkeys using the RTDC property where they also offer the boating.
One should visit this place if you are in or around Alwar.

The lake is beautiful, however the road to it is narrow and broken. The infra near the lake can be much improved by Rajasthan Govt., especially the boat charges, eatery choices.
Huge potential as a tourism place, a worth visit.

The lake is very big and is in between when going from Alwar to Sariska National Park. Entrance fee includes a drink and an opportunity to use the facilities. Ample food stalls are at the entrance to satisfy gastronomic trails. Entrance ticket is Rs 100. Right on the lake there is palace with rooms.
The view from the top balcony is breathtaking and stunning. The old water supply system trails can be seen. This place is worth to visit and enjoy peace and tranquility. Enjoy boating in 7 sq Km. There is lake palace hotel on lake compound which somewhat needs maintenance and upkeep in hygiene.

Waste of money, the place is too far from alwar with pathetic road. Once you reach there they will charge you 100 rupees to enter the palace. But this palace is a hotel which is terribly maintained. You can just go to top floor and see the lake only which is visible from starting point as well. You wont be able to travel any other part of palace. Poorly managed dirty place. Entrance ticket is very expensive considering the experience you will get. They also do not accept UPI or card and just cash and the receipt you get is plain ticket. So It looks like some scam is running at this place. Wont recommend anyone.

A nice picnic place in the suburbs of the Alwar town. The lake water is clean, boating is also available and the view from the siliserh lake fort is also breathtaking. A picturesque view to spend evening time with the sip of tea.

The view from the Lake Palace (Terrace) is eye-opening. Its a much bigger lake than one expects. From the little we saw, the property itself needs renovation and better maintenance. The rooftop restaurant has limited choices at present but potential to be a destination in its own right, where one can expect tourists to come just for the stunning views.

Written 11 August 2016
The lake is reasonably big but has crocodiles in it! Just search on Google images for crocodile siliserh lake. There's absolutely no swimming or diving in it. Don't even stick the hand in water when boating.
Also, the prices are absurd as the contractor is looting people. Check an image on Google images for the official rates (400 for motor boat and 80 for pedal boat). Check at Alwar tourism office too.

Hi,
Just wanted to check where can we spend the night near the lake? Also, any other attraction that we can cover near the lake? Planning to do a Sat-Sun!
Written 27 June 2016
Recommend not to stay at siliserh, the only option available is a run down govt guest house. Instead spend the sunset there and spend the night at alwar city.
