This park is the go to park for long weekends. Big sites in a forested surroundings. No row camping here. Great privacy from almost every site. Sites are all well maintained. Facilities are more than adequate for the number of guests. Excellent family park.

Provincial park with 31 km of trails. Beautiful beaches and perfect camping spots for families and lots activities fir children. Visit this year round gem within two hour drive of Toronto. You won't be disappointed. You might even see the Eagles flying overhead!

Awenda is a hidden gem of a park about 2 hours north of Toronto. Outstanding beaches in the summer, but the winter is also excellent, if not often visited. A great set of trails for x-country skiing and snow shoeing.

Miles of great trails to explore. Beautiful shorelines and beaches. Tree tunnel roadways throughout the park. Several scenic camp sites scattered throughout the park. Come and see for yourself.

Have been to Awenda many times summer time but never in November. Fall colours peaked already a few weeks ago. Still looks magnificent as it is with the yellow/golden leafs all over the place.

We visited Awenda the first week in August and the reason it has taken me so long to write this review is that Awenda just did not excite me. There is not anything wrong with the park but there is nothing special. Due to the...More

At first we were very excited about our camping trip at Awenda. I had been there as a young child with my parents and enjoyed my stay. Unfortunately my last experience at Awenda was horrible. When we arrived everything was fine, campsite was small much...More

Absolutely beautiful place. We drove through, the park was out of season but there were quite a few people hiking the trails. We plan on going back next year to try the camping. We were very impressed.

Awenda Provincial Park is a wonderful day trip out of Toronto. The walks are well highlighted, and a beautiful experience in at least three seasons (I have not been there during the spring). The beaches are clean, and the shallow pool is perfect for young...More

This has been a favorite camping and hiking spot for me since I was a child. The campsites are spacious and many offer above average privacy. The beach area is large (though the rockiness along the shoreline makes it a bit difficult to swim) and...More

Are there sites with hookups at Awenda? All photos I've seen show tents. We'd like water and electricity.

Hi! I just want toknw if there is a market nearby where we find fresh seafoods so we dont have to bring many cooked food. If yes, how far are they and are the price reasonable? Does your site provide shower facilities or just toilet amenities?

Hi Jocelyn. I don't work for Awenda, but I have visited often. In the main tourist season, there are shower facilities open near most of the campsites in the park. Those facilities are closed for the season now... More
