あまり知られていませんが，鳴門市の小鳴門大橋を渡り高島という島の中にあります。当時そこは塩田地帯だったらしく，その歴史を感じることができます。

大塚美術館流行らすために市長交代させ潰された塩田公園ですが、本物の塩田屋敷から見える本物の入浜塩田で体験できたら渦潮に並ぶ観光地間違いなし!大阪城や天橋立で実績あるマイクロナノバブルにより、防潮堤できてヘドロ溜まるようになった入浜塩田を元通りに復旧できることが資料採取し室内実験等で明らかになり、母の遺産から一千万寄贈するからしてくれというのを、コロナ休館後の再開館で競合施設ができるのを恐れた大塚が、市長に圧力かけて潰し、文化庁からも入浜塩田活かした屋敷活用言われてるのを無視して、大塚の言うとおりに人口減ってるのに予算オーバーの不要不急市役所建替えだけしようとしてます。
心ある鳴門市民や、出身者の皆さん。私が母の遺産投じて、重要文化財福永家住宅が有効活用できるようにしようとしてるのを、市に納得させて下さい。

鳴門大毛島の一角にひっそりと国指定重要文化財があります。製塩業を営んでいた福永家の塩田屋敷と入浜塩田が保存されています。当日はコロナにより閉鎖されていたが、外観は見ることができます。見学は無料になってます。

江戸時代以来、鳴門塩田の中心で、福永家は製塩関係建物と、入浜塩田はその唯一の遺構となっています。そのため国の重要文化財に指定。この日は、たまたまお住まいの方が出ておられて、敷地内で撮影することができました。茅葺き屋根の手入れの良さや大きさに感心しました。建物は鳴門塩田公園に隣接しています。

秋の特別公開がされているというので訪問しました。製塩業を営んでいた福永家。かつても塩田式星園の様子を見ることができます。

５９年前の小学校１年生。まだ小鳴門橋もできていなかったとき、鳴門に連れて行ってもらったとき「ござのようなものを積み上げて下にぽとぽと水がしたたり落ちていたのを覚えています。それが塩田だと教えてくれました。鳴門のうち海からの近道で実家に戻るとき、新しくできたこの橋のたもとに、この福永家住宅が見えるところで車を留めました。土蔵、納屋、そしてなんといってもこの煙突が塩田屋敷の象徴として懐かしくよみがえりました。

茅葺の「釜屋」が復元されていました。福永家は、塩田を開き、製塩業で栄えました。大きなお屋敷です。江戸時代末期の貴重な建物です。

塩田跡が残っているところは全国に沢山ありますが、塩田住宅が残っているのはここだけです。国指定の有形文化財で一見の価値あり。アクセスが多少悪いのが難点です。

この建物は江戸期から明治にかけて、ここ瀬戸内の「製塩業」で財を成した商家のものです。
因みに、当時は「塩田」から塩を作っていたのですが、その様子が良く分かる建物構成になっています。そして、それら建物の一部は国重文に指定されている貴重なものです。
ただ、普段は内部に入ることは出来ません。それが、ちょっと残念でしたが・・・。
