We had a fascinating and unforgettable experience with Corozal Bay EcoAdventure. Boat trips are guided by specialized crew, always with an experienced captain and tour guide who knows the region in depth. The crew is very attentive, friendly and concerned with providing the best experience.
We took spectacular tours, such as the Sunset along the New River, passing through the Mayan ruins of Cerros, beautiful mangroves, and a beautiful sunset surrounded by dolphins.
On the second day we visited the Bacalar Chico reserve and had the privilege of encountering a manatee while snorkeling. The mangroves are lush and very well preserved. The visit to the reserve museum and the relaxed lunch on the beach were worth it. On the way back we were impressed by the number of frigates on a small island.
On the third day we participated in the traditional Sarteneja fishing at Beach Traps, and learned how sustainable and selective this fishing is, a true example. We visited the welcoming fishing village of Sarteneja and were warmly welcomed by Abi's family for a typical breakfast, freshly prepared, with freshly caught fish and delicious Fry Jacks lovingly prepared by Mrs. Lili. A unique experience from beginning to end, an example of sustainable tourism.
We highly recommend it.
