We caught the train from Prague then walked about 20 minutes to Karlstejn Castle. We had booked online for the tour and the history and beautiful Kings Chapel was totally breathtaking. Well worth booking ahead as tours are limited and due to the nature of...More

We did a Viator 4 hour tour from Prague to the Charles IV castle. The tour guide was informative and the ride in the van was nice to get out of the city of Prague and see some of the countryside and homes. The castle...More

The parking site is a total scam on foreign tourists. When we drove up from the village below, there was only one sign for the “central parking” of the Castle, right under the sign indicating the direction of the Castle. So we drove up to...More

Great fairy tale castle with excellent guided tours. We did the basic tour as we have kids and weren't sure if they would be quiet and interested. They loved every bit of it and the detail shared was spot on. Well worth a visit.

If you’re going to drive, check the castle website before you get in your car and figure out where to park—it can be tricky, even with GPS, especially if you’re not arriving via the main road. We entered the town from a different road than...More
