Ability to adjust multi-day ticket dates when you only use 1 day. I only used one day as my daughter was sick and we couldn’t continue our weekend. Staff was not helpful nor understanding in this matter. Website stating “policy” is not easy to track down.

Trails that were closed were not marked either on the app or interactive trail map forcing us to go to either very icy or trails with tons of moguls!
Scout that has a “smiley face” as easiest way down was full of moguls with many crying children and struggling skiers that were not expecting something so challenging.
Very icy terrain was not marked off and caused my daughter a head injury and had to be taken down the mountain by ski patrol

I mistakenly purchased a four pac of passes for myself on a Black Friday special. They were supposed to be for my family. When we arrived at the ticket window yesterday and learned of this mistake the woman at the counter refused any credit, discount or anything. We had to pay window prices on a Saturday. It is March 7th there is no way I can ski three more times this season and she said they don’t carry over to next year. This is not how you should treat customers. Even some sort of small discount would have made a difference. But she was adamant there was nothing she or sugarloaf would do. I will think very hard about bringing my family back. Yes I should have read the fine print but I’m not asking for 100% refund.

I’ve been going for the years and have had some of the best times of my life at sugarloaf! All the locals are so nice! After a great day of skiing the bars and restaurants are so fun! Make sure to get a bag burger!

Sugarloaf- every trail is a fairway and the lift systems always break. Got yelled at for not having my face covering on in line(outside)... you pay over $100 to stand in a line...only ski midweek to avoid that...during covid all ski mountains have been short staffed due to mandates from the big corporations that own them. Tragically sugarloaf has some of the longest runs in the east... with no base to summit lift to enjoy them. Killington, jay peak, cannon, or wildcat are better places IMO

We stopped here on our drive from Skowhegan to Lewiston, a pleasant drive from the woods to hay and corn farmland. Seeing 4,237 Sugarloaf Mountain with its steep runs, multiple lifts and 350,000+ skier visits a year, I understand its reputation as the East's top skiing spot, competing with Killington in Vermont. Its active even now with diners, hikers and bikers.

This review is specific to my experience trying to sno-go at Sugarloaf. I'm a competitive athlete/ instructor on the sno-go, and I was very excited to come see what Sugarloaf had to offer in terms of terrain and difficulty.
Despite being a premiere partner with snogo, they arbitrarily limit the lifts you're allowed to use to only beginner terrain, and half of those lifts are closed mid week. It's like going to Disneyland and only being allowed to ride the hotel escalator because the staff aren't familiar with the shoes you're wearing. Keep in mind that all mountain access is granted to skiers and snowboarders, just not the snogo. Despite advertising it as an option. And being a Boyne resort. And being a snogo premiere partner.
The lazy answer I got when I tried to find out why they weren't allowing me on the lift was "conditions". When I tried to speak to guest services about it, they just repeated the same information with no explanation.
If these things had been adequately explained on their website I wouldn't have had to waste an entire day driving up, setting up my equipment, checking in to a hotel and getting on to the snow only to find out I wasn't actually allowed to do anything. Only reason this review is 2 stars instead of 1 is because of my albeit brief interaction with hotel/lift staff who were very friendly and tried to help, but in the end got shut down by management.
tl:dr This is not a snogo friendly resort despite pretending to be one. If you plan to start riding a snogo/ are experienced and want a lot of terrain, go to Sunday River.

Got scammed by Boyne Associates , corporate owners of Sugarloaf Mountain Resort. Paid for tix via Working Advantage during COVID last spring and they would not honor them this spring. Boyne got my money, hundreds of $$$ and refused to provide tix this March. Scammed. Too bad. Doubt this would have happened under old ownership. BUYER BEWARE. I cant begin to tell you how disappointed I was with the ticket sales office.

We checked-in last evening and were disappointed to find that our Internet did not work. And, despite assistance from a sweet tech person who came to our condo, we still have no WiFi access nearly 24 hours after checking-in. They gave us a $100 credit for this evening but they offered no alternative for WiFi access. This is just the main issue. This doesn’t even touch upon the antiquated decor of the condo we are in as part of the Snowbrook condo community.

What are the ski conditions like at Easter, typically?
Easter is typically great for skiing. We're a north facing mountain, so we hold snow well into late winter/early spring. There are also a lot of great family Easter events!

Is there anywhere at sugarloaf or nearby where I can bring my dogs inside with me as I wait for my husband to ski?

That is a great question. The only dogs I have seen in the base lodge(s) are service dogs. I have seen very small dogs in their owner's arms though. I wish I could be of more help...You might want to call the mountain or check their website.

Hi all. Heading to Sugarloaf for a first family trip ever in a couple of weeks. I have a conservative boarder in my gang. Can you suggest some lift/run combos to get us introduced to the mountain? Looking at the map it seems like some nice first run on the mountain options are maybe:
wiffletree lift up to wiffletree or buckboard
double runner lift up to tote road
bucksaw lift up to windrow
What are your favorites?
Thanks
Grant

I was just at sugarloaf this past weekend and have been before in the past. This is a huge mountain with a ton of good trails for beginner or safer riders. I would stick to bottom left side of the mountian the most but if your feeling up for it take the superqaud lift up then down to skyline lift. The beginner trail at the top right called timberline is my favorite because it's the longest And an easy trail all the way down back to superqaud or jump back on timberline. I'm pretty fast on my board and it still takes me 10-15 minutes to get all the way back to the Superqaud lift. Have fun and be safe!
