We did not have the chance to visit the interior because it was closed. However, it has impressive architecture and is extremely impressed under lights.

Nothing had quite prepared me for this miracle. It is a national monument and was restored, impeccably, about 100 years ago. A gorgeous, honey coloured stone, it is in near perfect condition. The decoration on the outside is minimal, but in the inside it has...More

Walk all around the church to get the full perspective of its shapes. Also watch the shadows change as the sun moves. Great for photographs.

San Martin and San Pedro are within a five minute walk. The day I visited San Martin there was a music program with classical, Spanish guitar. First rate!

After walking several miles on our camino, we were weary and seeking spiritual refreshening. This church provided such sanctuary. It was a welcoming place to pray and reflect. The medieval architecture and artwork were simplistic by Spanish standards yet lovely. How can you say anything...More

We spent a night in Fromista, Palencia while doing the Camino de Santiago. It is a typical Castillian town in The Meseta and seemed so deserted and dead. The streets were quiet even after siesta time was over except for an elderly pair of gentlemen...More

Simple clean stone interior with very well decorated capitals covering a range of themes. Cost €1.5 to go in, but worth the cost - also get some guidance notes on entry (available in English).
